(They don't look through threads..they just use search..so i would keep my siggy/location/etc..similar.) i would also like a user name that is a little more of who i am.

If someone asked me to I would have no problem going back and editing my posts. I know everyone wouldn't want to though.

By changing the account name you will reduce but not elliminate all traces of the name from search engine results.

If it is so much as found in a quote, or the name of an image file (or other file type/format) it will be indexed on onsite as well as offsite search engines.

If it is text on a single page on the forum, it can be indexed and stored on search engines.

Only way to erase all traces is rename the account, and beg any and all who quoted to delete those quoted portions of the posts. And rename any image files associated that contain the account name (if they exist at all, of course).


That is just the surface though.


There is also a website which exists for storing records of all sites which are indexed well on the search engines (regarding index/search rank, and traffic ratings) : wayback I have a domain listed there that I built in 2001 or so... closed it in 2005. It is still there. Images too..

Before you think the comment is bitchy please permit me to say. Recently I had another AV after retiring my Halloween AV, I was able to keep it just over a week before returning to the Lochai Art which I have currently displayed. The other AV appeared to induce are real change in the sorts of unsolicited contact I was exposed to . Hyper sexual and fairly damn annoying in content.

*chuckles* I know what you mean. And this is pretty an "innocent" av to what I use to use in the past. No one has bothered me with it. *crosses fingers* For whatever reason I tend to stick to using avs that feature bottoms and tease more than anything else. Having a large set of boobs looking out just isn't my style.

But I'm glad I'm not the only one which has noticed a pm trend in accordance to avs.

Damned if I know what the magic formula is Miss Wench. Perhaps more mainstream or commercially pleasing perhaps, stronger visual lead to porn orientation, emotionally evocative. Fact remains when I had this the quotient of ridiculous uninvited pm's was off the charts.
