Do you other guys have this problem?

I'm a guy. Sometimes it hurts if I urinate shortly after an orgasm. I've noticed this generally happens only if I had the orgasm in the shower and if I was harder than usual while being stimulated. For example, if my wife makes me cum via oral in the shower, my penis will be throbbing and very sensitive afterwards. I get that feeling that they call "pissing razor blades" unless I wait a while before using the toilet.

Anyone else experience this? Is this some irritation caused by soap getting into the head of my penis maybe?

It could be soap, but it's more likely the extra stimulation irritating and oversensitizing your urethra a little. Try going before you start anything sexual, and waiting for awhile (maybe 20 minutes or so?) after you ejaculate to go again. If it still hurts, hurts at any other time, or you have to go frequently, see your doctor because it could be an infection of some sort.

i have to agree w/SE... it's likely the soap. i got some soap into my urethra once and it burned until i urinated and it got cleaned out so to speak.

depending on WHERE the burning sensation is, it COULD be an indicator of another health problem. if you're feeling more deeply and so intense that you'd rather not piss at all i'd say check with the ol' cock doc.

take no chances: you only get one of these things in life, so take care of it and go see a doctor, man.

I actually did a little research out of curiosity, and painful urination immediately following a lot of stimulation and/or ejaculation seems to be a fairly common thing. Now I haven't heard my husband mention it, but he ALWAYS waits at least 10 minutes after he ejaculates, and usually 15-20, which coincides with his refractory period. Same with other partners. I suspect there's some connection.

Eliminate the possibility of soap by being careful to not let it touch the opening. Take great care in using soap, conditioner, or any non-sexual products for lubes.

Try waiting a little longer before you urinate after masturbation or ejaculation, and see what happens.

If none of that works, "the ol' cock doc" (you crack me up EJ) is definitely the way to go.

i usually have some degree of internal sensation if i urinate after ejaculation (which is about 90% of the time) but never anything that's uncomfortable or painful... just more noticable than your typical pee-session (and pee-session is nine-tenths of the law).

in any event, i just wanted to say that (as a guy) there's a noticable difference between urinating after ejaculating v. any other time. i'm not sure, but i THINK it's because of the erectile tissues and "plumbing" changes that occur.

actually: isn't semen basic (vs. acidic, as urine is)?

why would that matter? semen is mostly fructose w/some protein and other crapola in there... assuming it WAS basic and flushed out with acidic urine, what impact would that have on the tissues?

i was thinking the shock from the change in ph. bio isn't one of my strong suits, though.

neither is that polyester job you're wearin' right now. ;)

you might be on to somehting but i'd think that the change in pH (even if there is one... can anyone confirm the semen theory?) wouldn't be enough to cause iritation to the urethra... i'd be inclined to think that if this was the case, all men would experience this and it doesn't seem to be universal.

i'm just speculating here though... it's real-time rationalization.

don't make me break out the bad disco suit, man. :>

OK, OK, i don't actually have one. that was an empty threat.

Dysuria or painful urination suggest that there may be inflamation in the bladder neck or urethra.

The other though that come to mind is prostitis. The prostate gland surrounds the upper part of the urethra, the slender tube that leads from the bladder through the penis and that is used during ejaculation and urination. Thus, an inflamed prostate gland can cause a variety of urologic symptoms that affect a man’s quality of life: significant pain in the groin and surrounding areas, a burning sensation during urination, difficulty urinating, and sexual dysfunction—often manifested as pain after ejaculation.

regardless, have it checked out by your MD.

even if it's nothing you feel better about getting it checked out.

I always thought the burning sensation when urinating AFTER ejaculating meant that the urine is simply cleaning out left-over semen or something to that effect.

I've had several times a slight burning sensation, but it never got worse or bothered me anyhow.

In fact the very first time I visited the urologist was for prostitis, here I thought I had an std, only to find I had an irriation or inflamation of the prostate. Over the years this condition comes & goes, I have been on a antibiotic twice for it, and have found drinking more water, less caffeine similar to those who have had kidney stones to be a great help. Happens more often to me, when I get dehydrated like during sex when you are losing lots of fluids. I've had it enough now to not really worry about it, unless it gets so bad that the burning or irritation is constant then it is time to do something about it. I would say like the women do, since they get upper gi tract infections alot, drink cranberry juice, or have a beer. For me just drinking tons of water clears it right up.

Bet the doc may want to do a psa test on you, and check your prostate health since buring urination is also a symptom of prostate cancer. I just had mine done, and it was so fun. Bend over and say ahhhhhh....lol
