Does literotica ever depress you?

Yeah it depresses me a bit. Mostly because I feel a bit ignored sometimes and I wonder if I'm invisible or just really uninteresting. Sometimes I feel like I'm back in school where you have to be one of the cool kids for anyone to talk to you.

I share your feelings to some extent, although I'm still very new here and don't yet have an AV (still haven't tried learning how to shrink one to size)

On the General and Playground boards, it seems there's no interest in any kind of earnest/idealistic or detailed discourse. Being kinda wordy like I am seems to be a total putoff to most folks there, and I wonder why. Language is such a beautiful thing, why don't people like using it?

I like the HT Cafe atmosphere better, but it lacks the sexual heat of the other boards. IMO there needs to be a new board that's more sexually-oriented but where flaming & dissing are banned - call it "Safe Play Zone" or something.

Now this is precisely why I like the HT Cafe. I like interacting with the people here and, yes, talking about sex and relationship issues. And, no, there's not sexual heat, really, but there's some suggestive banter, and I think that's fun. I tend to save the really dirty stuff for my hubby, anyway.

I'm in total agreement with you - I wouldn't want to change the character of this board one bit. I just think it would be nice to have a new board that has a higher horniness quotient but still enforces some basic rules of civility & respect like this one does.

Why not start a thread in the HT Cafe that is more along the lines of what you want?

If not, I'd suggest Personals/Playground - they tend to have a lot more suggestive banter and not as much sarcasm as the GB. (Although, you can actually have quite a bit of suggestiveness on the GB...you just have to realize people will be making jokes, too.)
