Does your significant other know?

My fiancé is the complete opposite of me when it comes to sex. I have a fetish and I honestly think she doesn’t.

I been writing off and on for a few years but with the change of job she is around me majority of time unlike prior where I was alone most of the time.

Now I can only write pieces at a time in secret. She wouldn’t understand probably be bothered what turns me on the most.

Anyone else hides this hobby from your significant other?
As a self-published author it's difficult for her to miss my books on the shelf, although she has never read them. She did proof read a couple of my stories for a competition entry.
My son-in-law, jokes that I write, "horse porn." Well what can I say, other than my centaur is hung like a horse.

My Mrs. knows I write, the first two pieces centred around her which amused her no end. She hasn't read my "darker" stuff, doesn't appeal but likes to give her thoughts on stuff which I often run past her.

We were in Hamburg just before Christmas with a friend who knows and finds it fascinating I write erotic friction. In a discussion around the table in the restaurant I talked about everyday things that could prompt a storyline so she challenged me to create something out of where we were at the time. I ended up ill and stayed in the hotel for a day and penned Fun in the Dark. My Mrs. read so far and stopped, we have never had any form of sexual relationship with this friend (her best friend) and felt uneasy with the way it was going as she recognised both the female characters.

So other than that one, no issues with me writing & her knowing :)

My SO, like several others, was the one who suggested I join Lit. She's been writing everything from cheesy romance to hard smut for a long time, and Lit is one of her many haunts.

I wrote a lot of southern-gothic and western noir short stories in my abundant downtime as an overseas contractor. She read a handful of them and told me I should explore and experiment with the darker elements of my stories, especially sexual themes.

Of course, she always wants to explore anything related to sexuality. That's kind of her thing and one of the reasons I love her.

I haven't actually published anything here, not that people might think I'm a bad writer, but because I'm too lazy/busy/tired/etc.
