Alaska Lt. Gov. Nancy Dahlstrom, a Republican backed by former President Donald Trump, withdrew from the race for the state’s lone seat in the U.S. House on Friday after finishing third in this week’s primary.
Her decision left second-place finisher Republican Nick Begich as the main challenger to Democratic Rep. Mary Peltola, who is the first Alaska Native to serve in Congress.
Under Alaska’s open primary system, voters were asked to pick one candidate, with the top four vote-getters in the race, regardless of party affiliation, advancing to the ranked choice general election.
Will Shrub and the family come out for Harris? He's got a thing for MO anyways.I expected Pence to stay on the sidelines.
It seems the traditional Republicans are all in for Harris / Walz.
is this real? can't find anything supporting it right now

Foo Fighters Deny Letting Donald Trump Use Their Song at RFK Jr. Rally
It is the second time this week—and the third time this month—that Trump's campaign has clashed with artists for using their music without permission.
Is it like the rest of the things he has “bought”? Really IOUs instead.
Sorry, Derpy.
The band did NOT give its PERSONAL permission to the rapey, racist, misogynistic, corrupt orange traitor’s campaign to use their song.
If someone from the Trump campaign had called the band and asked for their blessing to use the song, the answer would have been:
“No” and “Let us be clear”
Hope that ^ helps.

And those are just the tip of the iceberg. Perhaps he really hasn’t paid for the rights.., just says he has… (seems like his MO his whole life… why pay for things when you can just stiff people… what an Idol you have have!)
Lol, if trump purchased a license from one of the licensing companies, (BMI, Sony, ASCAP, etc) then he doesn't need the band's specific permission because their contract with their music publisher includes the licensing.
So, YOU LOSE AGAIN.
Did he actually pay for it? That’s the question. Seems he hasn’t paid his bills in rally sites all over this great nation… and did he buy the rights once and then let the rights lapse?Lol, if trump purchased a license from one of the licensing companies, (BMI, Sony, ASCAP, etc) then he doesn't need the band's specific permission because their contract with their music publisher includes the licensing.
So, YOU LOSE AGAIN.
Project 2025 is a reactionary wish list. It is what the most retrograde section of the GOP has wanted to do since the New Deal.A LOSER with a plan to lose............ but WIN........
and then?
They are fucking serious. The more they deny it? The more we should be SURE that they are ready to make sure they get their way this time!
He already launched his own nameless badge less THUGS on protestors in Washington.
No one knew who they were, but they cleared his space for his Bible picture.
Sorry, Derpy, but “doesn’t need the band’s specific permission” does NOT equal “got permission” from the band.
So, DERPY LOSES AGAIN.

Under the licensing contract, the band must relinquish those rights. If it retains them there could be no licensing agreement through a 3rd party.
They are twins. Not something I would want to be related to.
Derpy and II74 share the pedant gene.

.Still on the music ramblings?
Suggestion. Music contracts specifically EXCLUDE all political campaigns, events and rallies of all types. No 'DJ' or other arranger could use any song at any political event without EXPRESS prior approval of the artist or their estate.
KEY POINTS
- Republican Donald Trump's economic proposals would increase federal deficits by almost five times more over the next decade than those of Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, per two reports by the Penn Wharton Budget Model.
- Harris has proposed raising corporate taxes to pay for her plan while Trump has put forward a hardline tariff policy on all imports, including higher rates for China.
- The Trump and Harris campaigns are in a race to paint the other side as an economic danger, each trying to win over voters fatigued by the higher cost of living.
