On a whim, I rented "Jackie Chan's A New Police Story" and I was pleasently surprised. Most of his flicks, while containing wall to wall action has that cheesy comedy that you can only take so much. This time, there was way more drama and showed Jackie at a vunerable point. Worth a peek. I also rented Bad Lieutenant with Harvey Keitel. I don't think I can look at Keitel in the same way ever again. This movie was disturbing but I couldn't stop watching. Worth a look.

I absolutely loved I Am Sam; must see it again.

As for me, I watched The Blair Witch Project. Yes, it's true, I had never seen it before. I thought it was funny, better than most led me to believe. I give it 3 out of 5 dancing nanas.

Hellboy - Loved Ron Pearlman in this, very funny. Special effects were great. As a whole the movie was kinda lame but would be a good enough to rent.

The Aviator - I liked this flick. Leanardo was good as Howard in the later years. I especially liked the congressional hearing at the end.

Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy - It was ok. Well, actually I didn't like this one. Maybe a second watch will make it better. I just didn't get it the first time through.

Isn't that the one that has this line:

"Yes, Virginia there are creatures that go bump in the night, we bump back."

I loved that one line.

I watched Hellboy and Punisher on the same weekend so I get them mixed up but I think Punisher was the one with the torture scene that included a blowtorch and the ice which I also loved.

Also, watched Casanova... MUCH better than I expected it to be, yay!

Damn it, this is the only decent part of the movie!

Over the last few days I watched all of the Firefly television series on a borrowed set of DVD's...

damn....figures. I find a tv show I would actually watch and it's already long since cancelled...oh well, I'll watch the movie next...

Best series evah. Cried when they canceled. I miss weekly Joss Whedon very much.

I started watching that, but couldn't make it far. I like Mark Ruffalo and Meg Ryan, but the story fell flat for me. I quickly found myself not giving a damn.

Damn, and the trailer looked so interesting. *grumble*

Give it a try, I guess. Might have just been the theme to me. It was building up to express sexual fascination, but there was no emotion or reason there for me to care. I was lacking all sorts of context. It's Jane Campion, and "The Piano" blew me away, so maybe there's a lot more in there than I could see. It might be something where you have to look at Meg Ryan and say "Oooh, I know what SHE'S thinking" but I kept thinking "Ew."

Apparently I have more in common with a crazy mute lady than I do a woman acting like she's 14 and has never seen a man before :D

I liked it pretty well.

Full frontal nudity on Meg who shockingly looked a LOT like me before I lost some weight.

Some HOT scenes with the guy in it and masturbating too!!

It was a B list movie but I showed selected scenes to my Honey cause they were scorchin!

I watched Crash last night mostly because, as my daughter says, "It won crap." I found it better than I would have expected it if you like to think and watch all kinds of people in different scenes, it works better than most films like this.

Finally watched Narnia. I thought it was pretty good. Flightplan was a very intriguing movie. Kept me guessing until the very end. Sahara was hilarious... and looking at Matthew McConaughey was a nice plus. ;)

Let's see... The Family Stone did not live up to my expectations.

Batman Begins sucked. Christian Bale is not a convincing Batman. Loved Michael Caine as Alfred though.

Yes, I've watched a lot of movies lately, lol. (That's not all of them either... just the ones I can remember.)

I thought it was a nice change from the Burton and Schumacher (HELP!) versions of Batman. However, I was cringing in my seat each time Katie Holmes made an appearance because of all the TomKat hype. Thankfully, her scenes were fewer than I'd expected. Other than that, I enjoyed myself.

Liam Neeson's scenes were pretty good. I just didn't think Christian Bale did a very good job at being Batman.

I actually think Michael Keaton was the best... Batman anyway. He wasn't necessarily the best Bruce Wayne, but I think he did the best with the crime fighter.

Yes, Neeson's scenes were fantastic and Keaton really was the best Batman so far. As far as Batman Begins is concerned, I think the real star of the show was the incredible score by Zimmer and James Newton Howard.

I tend to get so engrossed in the story that I don't pay much attention to the music.
