earing your red wings

James,

I don't deserve ya man lol!

And regarding that, hell I've been posting pics the entire time, just not that small. And I know how to reduce em'. It's late and the battery's wearing down!!!

God, it's AWFUL when the battery wears down. Oh, wait, I think we might be talking about different things here. ;)

Someone's got a one-track mind :p

Yes, it was an inserted image, and it was so tiny because I found it that way. I have a collection of smilies that I use around the web; they are posted on my website so I can refer to them whenever I need to. That's why you'll sometimes see me do this: http://www.amanita.net/images/smilies/2cents.gif http://www.amanita.net/images/smilies/ice-cream-cone.gif http://www.amanita.net/images/smilies/inlovegrin.gif ...even though those aren't Lit smilies.

Hey James, we both know I'm not vanilla (no way!) but I'm a vegetarian so Rocky Road doesn't appeal. What other polar opposites to vanilla ice cream can you think of? Butter pecan is too close to vanilla...hmm, maybe I should ask this over in BDSM Cafe! :D

Okay, as previously stated, I guess I'm a female who is a mysoginist (sp?). No, I do not want a man going down on my while I am having my period. And yeah, I do accept the fact that menstruation is a natural part of being a female - it's one of the reasons why I'm leery of the "shot" and the temporary ending of menstrual cycles. For me, it's just not comfortable and, quite frankly, the thought of it happening to me is distasteful. If some one else wishes to engage in this, hey that's great. But to be told I "hate women" because I don't wish to engage in this is a just a tad judgemental, in my book.

And not all women only bleed "a little." Before going on the pill and having my periods regulated, I would actually have a stream of blood come out while changing pads/tampons. Nothing abonormal, either. It's called pre-menpause and happens to some women. So the idea that I could damn near be hemorraging all over some guys face, and then have to look at him, was, yeah - disgusting.

Been there...done that got the t-shirt....earning my red wings....not that bad...sometimes not that messy 2...just put down a towel first.....but i do not recomend eating out during...done it...not fun....

Haven't tried it yet, but only because my gf isn't comfortable with me doing that while she is on her period. She kinda has a mixture of "It's bloody and messy" and what I call the Christian Mentality. The Bible says it is icky and unclean(sinful), so she subconsciously follows that. I've brought it up 4 or 5 times and each time she refused. For those worried about the mess or whatnot, try either having her shower first, or do it to her while you are both in the shower.

On the other issue regarding burrish, why do a lot of you seem to feel that you need to be her counselor? She didn't bring up the cheating issue, I think, and when someone else did, you started attacking her and getting involved into her more intimate personal life. I've taken Psychology classes in college and once you understand how counseling and Psych work, they wouldn't help you worth a damn. I say she and her husband need to work something out together, no third party necessary.

But, these are just the opinions of a 21 year old(well, almost 22. Bday on the 22nd), so take them how you will.

She brought it up in another thread, and people here tend to carry things over from one thread to another. As for why we feel we need to be her counselor...well, we like thinking that we know it all. :D

Lol...Etoile sometimes I think you read my mind and decide to say what I keep to myself.

Uncle Tom, please understand I mean no disrespect, but as a married 30 yr. old who has walked a similar path to burrish ( and who has also taken her fair share of Psych. classes in college, Hell I'm minoring in it!) I can say that while you may feel that she and her husband need to work it out alone having an impartial third party there (a counselor) is in fact quite beneficial.

I don't mean any disrepect either but I was posting on the boards to gain insight and feed back and if one post runs into another than it might help look at things from another point of view. i am a very naive and weak person, and I think that what most people are saying is helping me, and what i do with what they tell me is mine to do with. I thank every one of the replies i have recieived and take them all to heart, even yours. so please if they run together let them i like that, lets me know that i am rememberable.

Ok, I am lost as to why Rocky Road isn't vegetarian, but I'll go with the idea of an ice cream flavor thread for the cafe ;)

You mean we DON'T?

And I know what you mean, I seem to keep finding the same arguments from thread to thread

Marshmallow has animal products in it. (If you don't know, you don't want to! ;) )

Please reread the last line of my post. I'm not trying to tell everyone they they should love going down on a woman during her period, and in addition to that, not every woman should have to LOVE being eaten out during her period. The misogyny comes into play when people label women's bodies as "disgusting" and "fucking-nasty-ass" as one thoughtful poster did above. And you're right, some women have very heavy periods, but the average woman loses no more than 2 tablespoons of blood during their entire menstruation period. I guess that makes you above average;)

I think it's also human nature to want to help out. Ultimately they've got to work things out themselves but our criticisms weren't meant as attacks by any means. Check out our postings- we all want burrish to do well... exceptionally well.

And since this is a public forum, I don't exactly consider anyone here a third party... I think we're ALL third parties looking in.

No, you weren't saying people should love it, but Jenny_S's post about "fucking nasty-as...rethink this" and STC's implication that he would kill a girl who convinced him to go down on her while she had her period are both trying to tell us - well, burrish, since she asked the initial question - that we shouldn't like it or do it. And that is what I take exception to. If someone doesn't like it and thinks it's disgusting, fine, but don't tell me I shouldn't do it.

How about mint chocolate chip?

That's been suggested in the flavor thread. :)

Oops. Sorry.

Sometimes I don't think I should contribute to any thread because everything I'm considering contributing to a discussion 'has already been done.'

I really don't mind having sex while a woman is on her period, in fact I enjoy it more because my girlfriend lets me cum inside her. As for cunnilingus, i've tried it with an ex girlfriend and I really couldn't get into it, the taste and smell did bother me. That's never been a problem though, because most women I know really would rather me not do that anyway. All thesame women did enjoy having sex during their periods though... One more thing, my gf also bleeds a rediculous amoiunt so I would look like I ate somone alive. Seriously, when I have sex with her...it gets all over me.

Am in serious work-avoidance mode this am. So looked into this thread out of wanderlust and curiosity.

Now my mind feels like it's been in a three-engine train wreck. This thread has been all over the map (and yes, I would like to hear why marshmallows are not vegetarian - especially if the same reason applies to Fluff).

Burrish (hope I got the spelling right) - I urge you to find a therapist you like and don't worry so much about saving your marriage as about growing. If you don't grow in this life, you aren't living. If you do grow, saving the marriage will happen if it matters to both of you.

BTW, when only one partner is in therapy it can create a number of new issues in the relationship. Your therapist will talk to you about this. If not, find another fast.

As for the red-wings debate: it came up because Burrish thought it was somehow exceptionally exciting, or exceptionally giving, or both. She's right because that's what it means for her (or maybe that's what she thinks it means for her partner). Let's not forget that everyone takes many journeys in life, and sexual growth is only one of them.

Let her grow. Please, Burrish, look forward to growing. It's the finest thing you can do for yourself and for your partner.

Trust me (yeah, I know, I'm just some stray electrons making your computer screen happy for a few moments, but I've been there. Life without growing is miserable.)

One last rant from my little box of Borax: Selfishness sucks. And the selfish often don't.
