I've considered changing mine, but have no clue what else to use. I'm closing in on 10,000 posts so at this point I think I'm pretty much stuck with it.

I like my username. No underscores no numbers and it has an "a" at the end which implies female. Plus I think it sounds hot.

It's a song title though, albeit an obscure one, and not a Star Trek reference.

All my usernames, across all sites on the interwebs, and profile info, are song title and lyric inspired... Trekka is a meaningful song to me, but it's in good company with scores of others.

And yanno, Cassidy was already taken

User names. We’ve all got one. Some are amusing, some explanatory, some self-descriptive. Some just *ouch* chosen poorly. Are you ever tempted to change yours, and if so, what would suit you better?

When I created mine seven years ago, I wasn't entirely sure what it meant, but it seemed fitting for me so I went for it. I wanted to indicate the importance of a mental (as opposed to physical) connection to me, and that I wanted to interact with people over it in a way that wasn't hostile — indeed, could be pleasurable both ways.

Now I realise that it fits equally well with my more recent discovery that I enjoy the psychological aspects of BDSM play, such as anticipation games.

So, no, I wouldn't change mine.

So I decided to create a unique username that meant something to me and could not be found on Lit, or anywhere else in the universe (as far as the Google searches went).

I have always been about inspiration, either being inspired, or inspiring others. At the time I was attending a lecture series about old Greek philosophers. The names often ended in "ous", or "ious".

I married Inspiration with 'ious" and after rejecting things like Inspiratious (spacy?) and Inspirious (Huh?), I was 'inspired' to use Inspirinious
