I have only two people on my ignore list, both women, strangely enough, both of whom seem to take a delight in snarky put-downs of newbies and other Litsters unwise enough to step into their claimed territory.

Other than that, I like to read posts by pretty much everyone. Some threads bore me, of course, and I instinctively avoid replying to some posters. Visits by alt-right GB types typically provoke me to a response which I try not to provide. Essentially, though, Lit is like any community, you can't like everybody.

Just checked on my Ignore list. It contains 12 names and at least one of them dates back to 2004. He was an asshole who kept trying to shit on the floor in a thread that was generally thoughtful and where many people were writing about things that mattered deeply to them. Most of the others were trolls of varying degrees of despicability.

I have about a dozen on mine, for various reasons - most were just jackasses who wouldn't leave me alone, including a couple of women who seemed to think they could make me switch teams; one or two I just get pissed off reading their posts; and one who really stabbed me in the back and whose posts just trigger anger.

I have no idea what I'd change it to, honestly. Something more girly, perhaps, but that would likely increase the number of my "hey, babe" PMs. I get remarkably few as it is, and I'd prefer to keep it that way.

I like the wide variety, from the simple identifying names to the more inventive. There's only been one (which, of course, I won't name ) that's actually made me cringe.

The underscores defeat me, rather like a stop sign in moving traffic. My brain just short circuits.

Meaning, in my mind, you are always, and will forever be, Suz. I do try and at least remember to type in the underscore correctly....
