Endless Curiosity

I've seen you post about coloring books, what sorts of coloring books do you prefer? Any particular characters?

I like the adult coloring books, very detailed pictures. Floral scenes mostly, though I recently bought a book of celtic designs that I'm enjoying.

There are times I think you're my sister from another mother....

See, my mind went directly to "Who's your daddy?". In the real world, that would be funny. Here, that's such a loaded question it kills the joke.

I'm forced to quote Black Sheep: "So, what's up with your mother? Does she look as good as you?"

(I doubt anyone will get that reference.)

This has been a fascinating few pages to catch up on.

Tats and Daddies? AND coloring books?!

I'm officially entertained.

Why did you pick your username? And how did attracting others play into that role?

It's a song title. All my stuff (tagline, bio, etc) is song-based. That particular song, Trekka, err, well that particular band*, Puscifer, makes me wanna get my sexy on. It's good "3 AM and I'm naked and possibly tied up" music.

And Trekka** ends with an "a" so it sounds feminine.

Voila.

*plug for Puscifer, a side project of Maynard James Keenan, lead singer of Tool. Very unlike Tool, they've got hot beats and audible, intelligible lyrics! And the songs are often about sex...recovery...addiction... topics near n dear to me. It's like NIN meets Tori Amos meets Rick Ross.

**note: is not a Star Trek reference. Although I might have a raging Picard-Riker MMF 3some fantasy that kicks around in my head at times ;)

its my name plus a random letter..I never imagined staying when i first signed up so put absolutely no effort into the name because i was just noseying around...

attracting others wasnt on my agenda, i just fancied a bit of banter and giggles...

In the world of amateur sailing, there are "ocean sailors" and "lake sailors." The ocean sailors often look down on the lake sailors as "not real sailors" because well, lakes are smaller.

Us "Lake Sailors" have a bit of a chip on our shoulders about that. But I'm proud of it. The Great Lakes (I've sailed on Huron, Erie, Michigan and Superior) are powerful and simply huge. You can sail for days, completely out of sight of land (few of the amateur ocean sailors do that, actually, they are more "bay sailors").

So, I'm a Lake Sailor, and proud of it. Oh, and I am from (originally) Michigan (it wouldn't let me just take, "Lakesailer"...so...). Also, I may not be the best speller...

I had hoped that it would seem cool, but in a quirky way. (I think, possibly, it worked).

This is cool. And I really enjoyed reading it. I am totally unfamiliar with this music (long story, I pretty much checked out of popular culture between 89 and 2001). I will run off and look up Puscifer.

I'm not a threesome guy, but Diana Troy and Tasha Yar would be my FMF threesome. Funny thing about that series. When I was watching it (one of the only things "pop culture" that I paid any attention to during that period) in the late 80s/early 90's, I had (like most 20 somethings) a HUGE crush on Diana Troy. (And Tasha, but she left after the first season...). While I liked the character of Beverly Crusher, she was...well..."Mom." I mean, come on, I was closer in age to Wesley than I was to her.

My son has been watching it (and loving it). I've watched a bunch with him. Holy Fuck is Beverly Crusher HOT. Smart, sassy, self assured. I'm not about the same age as she was in the series, and she's now starting to replace Diana in my TNG fantasies....
