They highlight the lovely hourglass figure. They are distinctly feminine but remarkable innocent (yeah, yeah, Madanna/Whore thing...so what..). Plus, you can fuck in em. Anytime/anywhere.

The obvious (and shallow) answer for me is sexy lingerie — undergarments that suggest that the wearer has put extra effort into selecting and wearing them because they feel worth it, even though they might not readily be seen. Stockings and suspenders are a good example because they can be a bit of a faff to sort out (I regularly offer my services in this regard) but the end result justifies the added work.

In a more general sense, though, I heartily agree with this:
