Flip flops of a certain quality of construction are a perfectly acceptable work shoe in Southern Florida. Add sparkles and it's a dress flip flop. Make it silver and strappy and it's formal. Voila.

You asked if there was a thread type of which I would want to see fewer. That's the type: men coming to Lit to ask how to make their wives change their personalities, their sexual preferences, and with some luck, their body types and age.

I seem to have killed VT’s thread.

Too much work for a Sunday? I guess I should answer. Which I will do without quoting myself, as that feels too weird.

- I wander in the GB. No posting, all lurk. I just doodle around to see if there is anything interesting going on.
- I have a fair amount of stick power, but I leave a thread if it changes enough that I lose interest. Questions threads seem to hold my attention longer than anything else.
- Both. I’m lured by seeing posters who I like reading, but I also get drawn in on occasion by topic alone.
- I do not like to start threads. Too much responsibility. For some reason I feel like I would have to maintain the thing.

Bonus: Hmmmm. I don’t really have strong feelings against any type of thread. Some interest me, some don’t. Presumably the ones that don’t are entertaining someone, so they all have their place. Threads I'd like to see more of? I would have said question threads, before VT started this one.

Lit threads:

Do you stick to the same ones or do you wander and see what catches your fancy? I have a long list of subscribed threads that I follow daily. Once or twice a week I will wonder to see what's new in a few forums, particularly AmPics and the Playground.

Do you leave when they change, as they inevitably do? Very seldom. I may visit some threads less often.

Do you follow your favorite posters or is the content what keeps you engaged? In AmPics I follow particular posters. In the Playground, I follow based upon content. I will also admit that there are some people here on Lit that follow (stalk) to see where they play and post, as I value their judgements.

Do you like to start your own threads? I do. I've started threads in several different forums. In AmPics I started & killed several of my own pic threads. I think 6 or 7, and most have been deleted. I've also started several "public use" pic threads. In The Playground I started several threads, but most of these are replacement threads for ones that were closed due to the 5k post limit. I've opened several Sexual Role Play threads, but those are, well, SRP threads. And I have opened some discussion type threads in the Darkroom Lounge, The Lounge, and Story Feedback forums. So, I have been many places.

Bonus Question: What kinds of threads would you like to see more of? Less of? I would like to see more threads that are based on an innovated and new concept. They particularly capture my attention if they engage people to post with replies longer that a few words. I really like this thread, as an example.

Speaking of this thread, I have noticed a particular quirkiness which I enjoy. The daily cycle starts with a question or questions. People post open, honest replies to the question(s). But as the day goes on, the discussions devolve into playful activity, often with little bearing on the Question of the Day. Just an interesting dynamic. The thread changes in nature based upon the time of day. And this daily change is fairly consistent.

Less of? I don't really see a need for less threads, other than possibly redundant threads. I support the idea that anyone can try whatever they want. And if they find a following, all the better. I am always able to ignore threads that don't capture my interest, just as there are whole forums I seldom visit.
