Endless Ends

The scars from the brutality/murders/rape/forced “prostitution” during the Japanese occupation in WW2 run deep in China. It shows up in Chinese movies/tv quite a bit.
Interesting how that varies from country to country. I had an older relative who was a very tolerant soul. The only time I remember her saying something racial was once, when she made a negative comment atop the Japanese. She was a young girl during WW2.

The Japanese, though, don't seem to hold it Hiroshima against the United States.
 
The Chinese bit was explained to me while I lived there, and it spanned from survivors to the student generation.

The only thing I know about the Japanese feelings on the bombs is a profound sadness associated with them. I haven’t studied Japanese media much.
