Fairy Princess Palace 🧚‍♀️

Yes. Not really. Wait for it to stream if you are interested. Since it is about a teach/student high school relationship, I grade it a D+/C-,
I’m such a sucker for a teacher/student dynamic 🙈. I’d prefer college but, as long as all the actors are of age, I can suspend reality to enjoy.
I never get to go to the movies so I’ll definitely wait for streaming.

I like Ortega but I don't know how I would like her in this role. Same with Freeman.

Have you ever seen "Election" with Reese Witherspoon? Not really a "romance" but it plays with the student teacher relationship dynamic. I think it is clever.

I haven’t, but I’ll check it out!

It's...even with that, it's not good. It would have made a fine 80s "erotic thriller," but it hasn't learned anything. It isn't as smart as it wants you to think it is, it isn't particularly sexy. It wants to evoke Henry Miller, but it is more pretentious camp -- more CW than Tropic of Cancer. And yes, they make it clear from the first line of dialog that she is 18 to cover their bases (which made me think of Lit, heh), but still, high school student and high school teacher is pretty creepy in this day and age.

I was really disappointed in it.

This wants to be clever and literate. It fails.

I’m not getting your reference(s) at all, but I believe you. Will still probably watch it but won’t expect much.
