Favorite All-Time Cartoon

Cow & Chicken ... although I think it's not really for kids :)

Once I got thru the obvious favorites...Bugs Bunny and friends, the one that came to mind was Peanuts. I adore Snoopy as the 'World War I Flying Ace in his Sopwith Camel" (Curse you, Red Baron!) and Linus in his obsession with the Great Pumpkin. I love 'em!

I always loved them, too! My mom hated them, she thought that they were so stupid. Did you ever notice that Charlie and the rest of the kids would talk and you could understand them, but when an adult/teacher talked it was like a computerized garble???
I remember when the first movie came out and Charlie Brown was going to the Nat'l Spelling Bee and of course, of all words that he messed up on it was BEAGLE. I went to see that with some of my girl scout friends. We had a blast.

Does anyone remember Heckle and Jeckle? The two magpies had definite opinions and a lot of messy fun.

I do! They were great! See we did live in "The Good Ole' Days" and just didn't realize it at the time!!!!

Ooo... nice AV - kind of looks like Mariska Hargity from Law and Order SVU. You'd make a great cover for a novel.

-FF (great subject too, however it would be difficult to keep a plot going in more than one direction if I kept staring at your pic - which would be hard not to do)

As a child of the 80s, M.A.S.K =P

(note the AV from that show)

It was a very 80s show in the fact that there was the token politicaly correct characters... the black guy as a school teacher ... the hispanic doctor .... the woman race car driver/kung fu expert. I loved all the cars transforming into the battle machines and whatnot =P

I got a bootleg set of the episodes off ebay a while back. (every loser got it for 40 bucks, the price i paid, and the winner paid 130 bucks for 3 vhs tapes) When i get a cold or something i'll still veg out in front of the tv and will watch half the series =P

There is another one that was kinda short-lived called Birdman-- (he got his powers from an Egyptian Sun God, I believe.) There was a second feature under that cartoon called the Galaxy Trio, which consisted of Vapor Man, Meteor Man, and Gravity Girl.

Anybody remember a cute little duck by the name of Yackey Doodle? I think he had something to do with Looney Tunes.

don't know that one! But it sounds like Looney Tunes

I think the Tick is one of the best cartoons ever created. I can watch them over and over again and never get tired of them.

SPOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of my favorites though are Battle of the Planets, Star Blazers, and the original Speed Racer.

There was one on tv that I think was called Mighty Orbots. There were 5 robots that could join to one huge robot, like Voltron. The animation was excellent. It was only on for a season or 2.

Remember the one where when the kid got hot he turned into a Trans-Am and when he got cold he turned back? They'd, like, dump a soda on him and he'd get cold change. It was a weird show.

I remember the original Speed Racer, but I don't think I know the others. Those might have come out after I was already grown.

I used to have the Chipmunk Christmas Song....here are the lyrics... (I loved Alvin doing "I still want a Hula Hoop!" thru the whole song! LOL)

The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)--The Chipmunks & David Seville

(all right you Chipmunks! Ready to sing your song?
-I'll say we are!
-Yeah!
-Let's sing it now!
Okay, Simon?
-Okay!
Okay, Theodore?
-Okay!
Okay, Alvin? Alvin? ALVIN!
-OKAY!!!!

Christmas, Christmas time is near
Time for toys and time for cheer
We've been good, but we can't last
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast
Want a plane that loops the loop
Me, I want a hula hoop
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don't be late.

(Okay fellas get ready.
That was very good, Simon.
-Naturally.
Very good Theodore.
-Ahhh.
Ah, Alvin, you were a little flat, watch it.
Ah, Alvin. Alvin. ALVIN!
-OKAY.)

Want a plane that loops the loop
I still want a hula hoop
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don't be late.
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don't be late.

(Very good, boys
-Lets sing it again! Yeah, lets sing it again!
No, That's enough, lets not overdo it
-What do you mean overdo it?
-We want to sing it again!
Now wait a minute, boys
-Why can't we sing it again?
-[chipmunk chatter]
Alvin, cut that out..Theodore, just a minute.
Simon will you cut that out? Boys...)
