Not one of my faves--as a matter of fact, I would turn the channel immediately...Josie & The Pussycats.
Dang...I watched more cartoons than I thought, because I keep remembering more!

The Archies Funhouse
The Jetsons
Perils Of Penelope Pitstop
George Of The Jungle
Casper The Friendly Ghost
Go-Go Gophers
Space Ghost
Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel

he did catch the roadrunner once and did let him go--I saw it. I love all the "Acme" devices that the coyote would come up with! I love all the ones mentioned...let me add a few:

Fantastic Four
Dudley Do-Right
Rocky & Bullwinkle

Yep and in one episode it was revealed that Road Runner was the President of ACME.

I will add Under Dog.

Has anyone mentioned:

Fractured Fairy Tales

These were works of scripted art, to not only use the framework and characters of the fairy tale, but to use them as political satire was brilliant.

You all have mentioned most of my favorites, which include:

Rocky & Bullwinkle, Jetsons, of course the Flinstones, Yogi Bear (my dad used to call me BooBoo Bear), Mighty Mouse, Underdog, Quick Draw, Heckyll and Jeckyll, Tom & Jerry, Woody Woodpecker, Road Runner, Taz, Tweety Bird and the bad ole putty cat, and so many others.

Today, I like Crank Yankers, South Park, Simpsons, King of the Hill, Sponge Bob, and yes I have seen Striperella, and it's pretty cool too.

I have two black cats, bro and sis, that are called Taz and Tweets.
Tweets is the female and she is half the size of Taz. When the get to spatting, it always appeared that Taz was picking on her, caught her a few times recently, she is the instigator, so I named her well. Always acting like the innocent little thing and she is a little shit. LOL

Fun Thread!! Brought back lots of memories of childhood days. And my brother and I were the same; on Sat morns it didn't matter if mom and dad were up, we went down and let the cartoons watch us...lol

I am glad that you are enjoying the thread. Come back as often as you want. I love remembering the days of our childhood. And like so many there is always one that we seemed to have forgotten.

Ok... you have mentioned almost every cartoon out there...... but I didn't see Tom Slick on the list anywhere. (drove a cartoon dragster.)

Lamb Chop..... what about Soupy Sales, with Black Tooth and White Fang???? (Detroit based)

I really don't remember them,,,, My Dad was telling me about them!!!

Yeah I don't remember any of these!  those were the good old days!

And yes Tom Slick was good. I never really saw Soupy Sales, except on games shows, but always heard it was good.

Oh yes. We can't forget them. What's her name, Alexandria, was always scheming trying to do something to Josie and it always backfired on her.

I am not familiar with that one. Sounds interesting though.

There was also the Pebbles, Dino and Bam-Bam show later on, but it was not as good as the original Flintstones. They were in high school and in a band and Bam Bam was always doing dumb things like Barney always did and of course, Pebbles was the brain!

There was also Tabitha, but not sure if she was a cartoon or not. But it was about Tabitha the witch when she grew up to be a teenager. (Tabitha from Bewitched)

Thanks again to all that contributed to this thread. Sometimes it is good to take a walk down memory lane and remember when we were kids, we were all so innocent and naive and life was so much simpler. Before we had to get caught up in the rat race of grown up life! That is one of the wonders of parenthood, from time to time, if you have the time or make the time, you can go back and re-visit them through and with your own kids.

great thread!

what a fun thread to find on a Saturday morning! :)

I liked Starblazers, as well as some mentioned above...

but my favorite cartoon of all time is a single Warner Bros. cartoon... in which the construction worker finds a singing frog in a box, but the frog only sings when no one else is watching...

Hello, mah baby! Hello mah honey! Hello my ragtime gal.... Send me a kiss by wire.... baby my heart's on fire!

I remember it...the show was One Froggy Evening and the character singing it was a long-legged, dancing frog named Michigan J. Frog.

For you Looney Tunes buffs--found a great site for info on Warner Brothers characters. http://www.nonstick.com/ This is really cool...reminded me of another character that had his own show for a year....Yosemite Sam! Enjoy!

The most colorful character in the Warner Brothers repertoire.

It's a long story I won't go into here, but I was blind until I was seven years old. It took two operations with what was completely experimental surgery at the time to fix my eyes. Because of the hullabaloo over the experiments, I was put in a private room (didn't have to share) with one of the new color televisions (like a blind boy would care, you say). I listened to the Bugs Bunny show every day. Bugs, Daffy, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig, Yosemite Sam, they all entertained my days. When I was finally able to get the patches off my eyes, the Doctor came into my room - right in the middle of the show. Once my eyes cleared, like any kid, I looked right over at the TV. Bugs was on stage - and he was a disappointing grey and white fella. Daffy bounded on screen and wasn't much better looking. Then Sam came on, in his bright clothes and that big old hat, twirling his pistols and telling the varmints they better watch out. He immediately became my favorite and has held that position ever since.

Does anyone remember "Superchicken?" :D

Superchicken Theme Song

When you find yourself in danger
When you're threatened by a stranger
When it looks like you might take a lickin'
(Buck buck buck buck)

There is one thing you should learn
When there is no one else to turn to
C-a-l-l for Superchicken!

Fred, if you're afraid you'll have to overlook it!
Besides you knew the job was dang'rous when you took it.

He will drink his supersauce
And throw the bad guys for a loss
And he will bring them in alive and kickin'
(Buck buck buck buck)

There is one thing you should learn
When there is no one else to turn to
C-a-l-l for Superchicken!
(Buck buck buck buck)
C-a-l-l for Superchicken!
(Buck buck!)

Small wonder I'm so warped!
Buck - Ackkkkkkk!!!!!!!!
