Favorite story by another author?

If we're going to include non AH people, and if that includes non-Lit people, I recommend Enslaving Eli by billiexxxxx.
If the story's not here on Lit, that's a bit meaningless, and using Lit to promote off-site content from a non-Lit author is against site policy. It's not a big deal for just one story, but we should at least try to comply with our publisher's policies.

@TheRedChamber 's The Demonization of Humberstone Rd has already gotten a nod, but it deserves another. And probably another after that.

@Omenainen 's Arctic Night is a personal favorite. Among other things, it has by far the most foxes.

@Bramblethorn 's Magnum Innominandum is one I read years and years ago, before we became friends. It was one of the first times I read erotica and felt like I didn't immediately know where it was going. I would recommend Loss Function as well, but I liked the original title better and I'm on strike until it gets renamed. #ReleaseTheBrambleCut

Also a bear!

That rare time when I had not one but two good titles for a story!

Shouldn't you use a @ so they know you recommened their stories?
Unfortunately the Doc is dead -- He was one of the few people here I could call a friend without wanting to fuck them too. I'll always regret not taking up his offer to show me around Chicago.

I always struggle to identify favourites, but some that I love:

Grumpy Old Ladies by @AwkwardApple415 (Omenainen and AwkwardMD). Donna and Magda are just so gloriously petty.

The Demonization of Humberstone Rd. by @TheRedChamber. I was enjoying this one well enough, and then the end showed me it was cleverer than I'd noticed.

Another nom for My Fall and Rise, and Gold Dollar Girls by @MelissaBaby. The way the girls express their love for one another through bickering.
Love all of these. The Humberstone road is one of the few non-Lesbian Sex stories I've actually enjoyed (and an example of why more people should read AwkwardMD and Omenainen's reviews).

Hyena Girl by MsNatalie99 who was here on the forum for awhile before life got too busy to waste time here.

What I liked about the story, well two things, is I enjoyed the banter between the two characters, the casual insults doled out between friends, but at the same time masked-therefore spoke volumes-about their issues.

It's also in Illustrated, but the story features...well, we'll say a surprise. Totally not my thing, but the story had me hooked and pulled me into it anyway

I liked several stories from the recent "geek pride" event, from the top of my head I remember "Village Maidens' Favor" by @Priscilla_June.

Having said that, once I started writing pornography, I started reading less of pornography, which, hopefully, is a net positive - since the only perverted thoughts in my head are of my own imagination.

I wonder if the same trick would help curing addition to the real porn. Like, if you find yourself spiraling downwards with having to watch more and more perverted videos every day, then take a break, write a script, rent a studio, fix lights, get cameras, hire actor, actress(es), make-up artists, get a fluffer, and have it all filmed with three takes on each scene, and several months of post-editing afterwards. And by doing so you will forget what it means to watch porn for wanking, because you'll start watching it with a notebook and make notes "Aha! This is how they managed to film that one!" or "What an interesting camera work, I have to try that one too!"

Awe thanks a ton for the shout out :)

Nudity Is For The Birds by @Kethandra. Sadly, she has taken it down.
Thank you so much, TP! Following several recommendations, I cleaned it up a bit, have it up for sale on Amazon, Smashwords and other sites. The response to that story has always amazed me.
I just entered my new Nude Day story in the contest today. Totally different, but set in the same time and town.

Good to see you popping back in.
