This is what I don't understand about these debates. There's ample room to prove that there's a clear misuse of police authority, and while there are those who try to blow cases up for political agendas, that's not even the most reprehensible of issues. That dishonor is reserved for people like you who want to take this conflict of blue vs. non-blue and turn it into an issue of white vs. black. Once you've succeeded in this, then and only then do you proceed to prove it (as was done in Baltimore), oblivious to the fact that this evidence only exists because you stirred the pot.

I can agree that police culture has some inherent problems but it isn't limited to the black population. I used to get stopped all the time for driving a beige Toyota 4x4 with a deadhead sticker in the back window. On top of this I used to have waist length hair in those days. Yeah fun times... Tamir was buried Dec 3th, 2014. There has yet to be a Grand Jury on the case so it has yet to be determined if any charges are to be brought against either of the officers involved.

Pretty tragic situation..

They had something similar up here where the cops served a warrant on a suspected drug dealer. Swat team busted into the apartment, scared the hell out of some poor young woman sleeping on the couch in the living room. She jumps up and runs naked toward the back bedroom where her kids were sleeping. As she gets to the door to the bedroom some cop on the entry team fires a shot at her and kills her right in the doorway in front of her kids.

Results of the inquiry later determine that the warrant had the wrong building and apt. number on it, the woman had no affiliation with the suspect and was probably just frightened by the entry in the dead of night and was running to protect her kids.

Final determination: accidental shooting. (IIRR the officer involved got reprimanded for "improper weapons safety" or some such BS and later resigned).

Was the community outraged? Yes..
Were there protests? Of course..

As with the Tamir case, the shooting was just as tragic and senseless and in the end the cops got off with a relatively mild slap on the wrist. And this sort of shit happens all the time.

But this whole indecent didn't get nation news coverage. Why? Because the woman was white, there were no riots and it didn't fit the current narrative.

I think Dillon Taylor, Joseph Erin Hamley, and Kelly Thomas would disagree profusely with that. Especially Taylor, given that he was profiled and fatally shot by a black cop.

Former and current New York City cops have lit up an NYPD message board with racist comments following the shooting of an unarmed black man in South Carolina.

Thee Rant, an online community forum for New York City police officers, allows users to post anonymously as long as they have signed up for membership with a valid NYPD ID.

"The perpetrator was wanted for non support and stole the cops lazer and ran like a typical ni**aaa," user DisGraziato wrote yesterday. "Aren't police allowed to shoot a fleeing felon?? Eight shots in the back. A good shoot if you ask me.."

The 'perpetrator' that the user is referring to is 50-year-old Walter Scott, who was allegedly shot to death on Sunday by a South Carolina police officer after being pulled over for a broken brake light. He had been arrested before for failing to pay back child support.

"Who cares," wrote user otjkid. "One less azzbole that comes through the drive through on foot."

"Was there a local Duty Savage, or did Sharpton himself fly down to size this up?" wrote HUD.

Other commenters were more critical of the officer.

"Can't side with guy on this one," wrote user MY TWO SENSE. "That was about as ugly as it gets."

"He shot an unarmed guy in the back, who was 50ft+ distant and running away," wrote TrueBlue. "What was the cop thinking?"

This is not the first time the message board has been defaced with racist comments by NYPD officers, according to Newsweek. After a man opened fire in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY during the city's West Indian Day Parade last September, NYPD officers took to Thee Rant to vent about West Indian and African-American "savages."

"The savages have won," user OldSchoolCop wrote. "Protect yourselves, your families, other LE and their families."

"The mere interaction with those people involved and the complete lack of respect for each other made me realize how much of a sheet culture the West Indies really are," wrote user MY TWO SENSE. "These people...assault, rape, pillage, you name it."

The officer who shot Scott, Michael Slager, told the media through his attorney that after a tussle, Scott took the officer's Taser. Slager said he then shot Scott because he felt threatened, The Post and Courier reported.

A video has surfaced, however, that contridicts Slager's claims: in the video, Slager is seen shooting a fleeing Scott (who is apparently unarmed) five times, hitting him in the back, ear, and butt. At least one bullet also reportedly entered his heart, and it is believed that Scott died at the scene.

Plenty of other Thee Rant commenters seemed disgusted by the racially charged posts left by their fellow officers.

"I really have a hard time believing that some of the people on this board are cops," wrote user woodshampu. "The level of ignorance, stupidity, and arrogance is breathtaking.

That many of you seem to find room to be apologist for the officer in this incident causes me to stand in bewilderment that more cops are not in handcuffs."

All I can do is keep posting example after example, but I can't make horses drink the water. To be honest, I don't give a damn anymore if they drink or not. Because the water's there and it ain't evaporating.

You guys can keep on trying to soft-serve ice cream it away from the actual issue and the roots of this shit because there's hard, ugly truths there that will not be solved until they are aired out and fully acknowledged. The actual history, from past to present, the legacies, the hegemony, the structures, the protected interests, all of it. Nothing that is going on right now is an accident.

And the discussions about this here are ultra lightweight. Go on Twitter or other social media where there's more than just two black people trying to tell you what's really going on because some of them are actually there, witnessing it going down with no filters on and "it's not a black or white thing, it's a blue thing" excuses like yours will get squad roasted.

The initial loan officers at the bank for our one and only mortgage didn't think twice about me and my pregnant wife; two of them worked with my non-white father for close to 20 years AND the third saw we were paying half of the sales price with CASH. When bank officers see green, your skin color doesn't matter much.
