But, yes, the use of deadly force to protect property is justified under certain circumstances, such as somebody about to fire bomb an occupied dwelling or business or car. There are other times too, when the attack on the property puts citizens in danger.

This "white man" is not enjoying anything, & that includes both my "privilege" & the blame I am receiving repeatedly for people thousands of miles away that I agree with those attacking me acted improperly... Those attackers are what I need to fear near-constantly, whereas the minorities are the ones who can live without such fears.
In addition, I (as an individual & a group member) am blamed/attacked when blacks kill each other, but I don't complain when Denzel is nominated for or wins an Oscar, nor do I ever complain when there is no day (let alone month) celebrating whites' history, a holiday celebrating the birthday of LARRY King, & I am "spared" the slack to which you refer, which is the main way it's different than the blame, in that I get FAR too much of that.

In NY, it's tricky: You can use "appropriate and necessary force" if you're protecting children, but that changes when protecting the car. A parent told his kid that when he, a teenager, went after my then 8-year-old, informed him that he was lucky I showed great restraint in not killing him (and leaving that up to his mother and grandmother LOL)

I've seen "Teen Bob" in action: Police busted our party, wanted to arrest the few blacks who were in the same house as a few joints, were going to let the rest of us go, until an Italian sergeant whose kids were black arrived and asked us who brought the pot, telling us we'd all be thrown in jail if no one spoke up. The only adult - a hanger on - admitted to it, we all were given 10 seconds to run or we'd be brought down to the jail and our parents would be called.

I think Dillon Taylor, Joseph Erin Hamley, and Kelly Thomas would disagree profusely with that. Especially Taylor, given that he was profiled and fatally shot by a black cop.
This is what I don't understand about these debates. There's ample room to prove that there's a clear misuse of police authority, and while there are those who try to blow cases up for political agendas, that's not even the most reprehensible of issues. That dishonor is reserved for people like you who want to take this conflict of blue vs. non-blue and turn it into an issue of white vs. black. Once you've succeeded in this, then and only then do you proceed to prove it (as was done in Baltimore), oblivious to the fact that this evidence only exists because you stirred the pot. And to top it all off, now that you have your hand-crafted evidence, you proceed to ignore all legitimate cases of police brutality that don't include black victims and non-white police.
This isn't to say there is no white privilege in the world, but Freddie Gray, John Crawford III, and Tamir Rice don't prove it, and to even use their names while broaching that subject is the greatest insult to them I could fathom.
