I was on Fetlife and it enabled me to meet other kinksters. I sort of got a little circle of like minded people going and it enabled that. I left it a while ago, I felt it got a bit too much and a bit spammy. Lots of supposed Doms contacting me.

I agree. It has a strong emphasis of making it easy to get in touch with other people who share the same kinks and fetishes. But there are a lot of people who use it to promote their pay sites.

Yeah judgy is putting it mildly in some of those groups! It pissed me off when people with such a narrow and closed mind would get on there. They couldn’t say anything positive or make a contribution. They could only criticize. Lots of assholes on there for sure. Just like the real world. I was lucky enough to have the good outweigh the bad.

I’ve been trying to find a munch to go to but it seems pretty dead in my area. Lots of groups where the last post was years ago, or where someone posts every month about where that month’s gathering is happening but no other discussion, which to me makes it look like nobody is going but the organizer is still hanging on, hoping it takes back off.

It went nowhere and so I purged my profile and refocused on events, lurking and random interactions. Still really going nowhere but at least it's less draining and not a total timesuck now.

Well, I have a fet account, but I'm a bit mixed on it all. There are some good things about it (more ropey people) and some not good things (no one is interested in what you say, but rather how you look). I've found I like lit better because I'm much more cerebral than physical.

My experience is that FetLife is crawling with scammers eager to connect your Fetlife profile to your real life in order to blackmail you. After a couple of close calls, I deleted my account and am staying away. There were also too many oeople trying to sell cam servIces and OnlyFans sites.
