Final Fantasy VII

"Pleasure to meet you."

Sirius was relieved that it wasn't some sort of attack... Or atleast, it didn't seem so...

"Plan on blowing up anything else, or am I safe to go back to the hotel?"

Criteria

Before stepping in I wanted to make sure that this was open to anyone. (i.e. Noticed that nearly all are ranked 'Really Experienced'.)

OOC: You are more than welcome to join! As you might have noted from reading other threads, the number of someone's posts does NOT reflect their writing talent :)

Reno

Reno kept back in the distance while Sirius approached the man. he was hiding around the back of a tree, looking at the guy carefully. He could swear something was familiar about him. With all the metal accessories, though, it was hard to place his "face." Reno could have sworn the guy used to be with Shinra. He didn't like it either way.

Epsilon

The man watched from the beach as smoke rose from somewhere near the forest following the large booming sound.

Epsilon didnt like loud noises, like he didnt like loud people. he prefered the quiet of nature, and the creatures he called his friends. After joining Soldier he found himself less and less interested with the petty needs and wants of humanity, and those who dared call themselves the best of it. He wasnt entirely human, he knew that now, after practically beating it out of Hojo. He was once a young man named Torhn, at least, he thought so, his memorys had become so clouded in the last few years, the mako was erasing his memories, or seemed to at least, perhaps the cells of that creature genova were to blame, he was one of the few that survived the experiance. Him and his brothers, for he was reborn then.

The smoke began to clear and he took a step foreward. the chains that never left him clanked on his metal accessorys and reminded him of his ties to shinra, how he hated the man, he was glad Sephiroth, ('big brother'?) had killed him. Rufus didnt seem to be much beter though, he would die too, he had already sealed his fate by going after Avalanche and stepping in the way of the plans Hojo made years ago.

Indeed. Epsilon thought a lot. Thought but didnt speak, speaking was outdated, thoughts worked much better, and got the point across much cleaner too.

He took another step, and another. He soon found his way into the trees where he would have seemingly vanished had anyone been there to see.

Zafe enough..for now at leazt.

*He blinked*

Zomeone elze is here....

*He peered behind Her*

Who hides from me? I could find out..

*he tapped a staff twice on the ground and the end burst into flame, lighting up the clearing a great deal*

Sirius looked back at Reno.

"Him? Oh, that's just my travelling companion, don't worry about it."

Sirius looked back to the man.

"I shall be off to bed now; I really need some sleep, so if you have a sudden urge to blow up something, go to the next town."

Sirius flashed a sweet smile, turning and walking back past Reno towards the hotel.

*He blinked for a moment, peering in the light, before he lifted up the goggles*

..Reno?

*He walked over, well, scurried really, quickly to where he stood, cornering the turk and peering at him with those odd eyes of his*

Reno ov zhe turkz?

Reno

Reno smacked himself on the forehead. Of all people...him...

"Hey, Mark...er..Matthew...no, Methos." Reno stood with his head looking down. He remembered him from when they worked together with Shinra for a short while. There was just something about the guy that he didn't like. Maybe it was the accent, maybe the pyromania, but whatever it was, Reno didn't like it.

He looked up. "What the hell are you doing out here blowing stuff up?"

*Methos however, had no such qualms. Reno had been such a great guy when he'd worked with him, and so he yelled a whoop of Joy*

Reno! vou zonofabeech!!

*He whapped his old comrade on the back several times, grinning maniacly*

Vell, avter zhat little explosive inceedent...I've been workink on a new vorm of Exploszive..Uzing Mako, I haff been able to create zeveral powervul explosives...

^_^

Sirius listened to the two talk for a moment.

"Well, you two have fun. I'm going to go get myself smashed."

With that, Sirius walked back to the hotel, planning to polish off her hard lemonade supply, perhaps even take a few shots at the tavern.

Reno laughed uncomfortably as Methos smacked him on the back. "Uhh, yeah." As soon as he noticed Sirius making an exit, he saw a way out. Hanging with the rookie beats this guy anyday.

"Uhh, I better keep an eye on her, we're partners and all right now...sorta, I guess." He chuckled angstfully again. He started walking quickly after Sirius.

Ja! I vill see you later ya?

*He waved excitedly after reno, and after cleaning up his house, he headed to the Com Station, Where he picked up a direct line to a certain Rufus Shin-ras office..*

ooc: I'll continue this later..after they're good and drunk XD

OOC:

"Good and drunk"? Great idea! :)

IC:

Sirius opened the hotel door, pushing it back as she entered. She could feel someone's hand take the pressure of the door from behind her. Glancing back, she noted Reno's fire-red hair.

"Thought you were going to stay and talk with your little friend," she mused.

Reno looked at her with a crooked brow. "Him? No... I figured I'd better keep an eye on you."

"Ha. Figures." She smiled charmingly. "Well then, you can hold my hair back later on this night -- I'm going to get plastered."

"Mind if I join you?" he asked.

"Not at all. Besides, I enjoy your company."

Reno

Reno was absolutely relieved to have avoided any more contact than necessary with Methos. He remembered the days back at Shinra when that guy worked in the weapons department. Every morning the guy would come up and slap him hard on the back with a hearty "Good Marnin' to ya!" It was just so annoying.

At least he could avoid all that drama tonight. He went into the room and took a seat on a chair. He flopped down hard and stretched out his legs. "Hey, toss me one," he called to Sirius who was bending over to grab a few drinks. She tossed one across the room and he snatched it up in his hand. He flipped the cap off and downed half of the bottle in one gulp. "What a way to start the night," he said.

"Indeed," Sirius agreed, sitting back in a chair. She twisted the cap from her hard lemonade, skillfully flicking it across the room to a garbage pail. She tipped back and downed 3/4 of the bottle, initiating a silent drinking contest with Reno.

"So, what made you decide to be a Turk?" she inquired. "I mean, the pay isn't that great, the common people hate you, and you're underappreciated. What the hell would make you take the position?"

OOC: Whoa, this game hasn't seen a post in a while. I hope that the players are all around and such, the game was looking great throughout everything. Uhh, yeah, I'm new here and wanted to take a shot at joining in.. *Beginning to wish he knew a smiley for nervousness..*

IC: Rael strode through the doors of the hotel with a sense of profound calm around him, he hadn't been here before, but felt as if he knew the interior already. Of course, he hadn't expected it to be so big, the stairs seeming miles away from the front doors. His hand dipped into the pocket of the loose martial arts trousers he was wearing, and from the pocket came a few jingles. He winced softly as the jagged end of his payment card jabbed his finger, although the effect of pain was seriously hindered as he started sucking his finger.

Things got worse, too, as the contents of his other pocket, many sharpened caltrops 'handily' dispersed themselves along the floor. "Oh shoot! Not this again.. " Sighing, he begins to carefully retrieve them all, and reaches the desk without further hinderences, despite having to avoid direct eye contact with anyone there. Looking down made that difficult, due to his being 6'3" tall, he would usually meet the eyes of people anyway. "H-hi there.. C-could I have a room, please, one of your finest... If I may." He said, embarrased now, his former calm replaced with a terrible urge to lock himself in the room he just booked. With a startled expression from the clerk's insistance, he handed over the payment card, having to hide a small smile as the clerk himself caught a finger on it. He waited patiently, straightening out the baggy, open shirt covering him, his chest and stomach in view. He could deal with remarks about his choice of clothes well enough, but was easily embarrased when it came to his actions.

Finally having completed the transaction, Rael made his way towards, then up the stairs. He reached his room shortly, his long legs carrying him there swiftly, coupled by the desire to relax and unwind a little. What he hadn't planned on, however, was what caught his eye upon opening the room. He had opened the wrong door! A man was in there, Rael thought he recognized him too, the memory of his name flickered on the outskirts of his mind, yet he couldn't quite place it. Along with the man was a dazzlingly attractive young woman. Rael tried to avoid looking at them, and made a futile attempt at managing an apology, simply standing there in an amost paralytic state for a few long moments. "I.. Uhh, well.. I'm, I do appear to have.. " He trails off..

Sirius looked over to the door, watching that man that had accidently stumbled upon their little drinking party. She smiled charmingly, trying to calm him from his nervousness. "It's perfectly alright -- an honest mistake."

The man nodded and moved slightly, as if readying himself to leave the room in a hurry.

"Would you like a hard lemonade?" Sirius asked, picking up a full one from her pack. She held it temptingly in his line of view, hoping that he would stay and join in their conversation -- Reno wasn't being all too talkative or friendly this particular evening.

OOC: Deary me, I should try closing down some messengers. Writing posts while talking to friends is difficult..

IC: Rael noticed the hard lemonade and tried to remember the last time he was offered a drink.. Which was never. "Oh, well.. Sure, if you don't mind." He replies somewhat eagerly, taking the drink from her and accidentaly brushing his hand over hers, readying an apology as he draws up a chair. "Thank you, it's been a long time since I had any of this. How are you today, if I may ask?" Rael sends a smile at her friend, still struggling to place a name.

OOC:

I know how you feel; I have a severe problem with multi-tasking ^^'

IC:

"All things considered, I'm doing rather well. And how about yourself?"

The man replied with a simple, but suffiecent, "I'm doing fine."

Sirius smiled, looking the man over so as to leave an impression of his appearance in her memory. She finished off her first bottle of hard lemonade and tossed it into the garbage. Reaching for another, she looked up to Reno, who had also finished his.

"Would you like another, Reno?"

"Sure."

Sirius handed Reno another malt after twisting off the top, then did the same for herself. She looked back to their guest.

"Oh gez, I'm so sorry... I've completely forgotten my manners! My name is Sirius, and this is Reno."

OOC: Heh, it's time like right now, when there aren't any people on any of my messengers, that I really get creative and post a lot.

IC: Rael smiles in appreciation of the warm welcome and friendly company and takes a tentative sip of the lemonade. "Oh, Sirius, a pretty name. I must apologize for my own lack of manners, I'm Rael, somewhat of an outcast from Wu-Tai, due to a set of unfortunate events. Pleased to meet you, Sirius." He replied easily, despite trying his best to avoid staring at the young woman. "Reno.. One of the Turks! So that's where I know you from."

Taking a long drink of the lemonade, Rael puts it down on a nearby table. "I wouldn't want to get myself drunk too quickly, it never took much to get me in a very embarrasing state... Did you hear that explosion earlier?" He asks politely, quite curious, but mostly intending to attempt to distract himself from her radiance.

"Oh yes, I did. In fact," Sirius looked to Reno, "it just so happens that the guy that made it happen is one of Reno's buddies." She smiled as Reno gave a cold "Hmph" reply.

"He's promised to stop the explosions for the night -- I don't think I could sleep through another one. I'd have to find the little bastard and kick his ass."

"Amen to that," Reno replied.

Sirius looked back to Rael, and Reno looked towards the window. He was in one of those ponderous moods this night; he more than likely wouldn't reply much to the conversation.

"So," Sirius started, "what sort of 'unfortunate events' occured in Wu-Tai? That is, if you don't mind me asking."

Rael flashes a broad grin at Sirius. "I bested my former tutor as he was attempting to 'teach me a lesson' in skill and finesse. Of course this led to further challenges from people until I came up against a young girl ninja. That crafty little.. Well, not only did she turn up for the event armed, she took the liberty of stealing most of my Materia and got me framed for stealing an item of great value to the village. Sadly the elders didn't listen to reason and cast me out. Ever since then I've found my way around going from one town to the next, and here I am." He shrugs slightly and takes a sip of the lemonade. "I miss the place from time to time but I'll doubtfully ever go back. May I ask what brings you here, especially with a man like Reno?"

Sirius couldn't help but force a small laugh. "Me? Oh well..." she scratched the back of her head, "it's really a long story, but I'l try to give you the abridged version."

"You see, I work at Shinra headquaters... Not because I'm especially fond of the corperation, mind you, but the pay was decent and I thought I might be able to get out of the slums of Midgar. Anyway, I worked as Rufus's personal secretary. Through a couple of monthes I managed to prove my ability in field work through the training course, so he allowed me to leave Midgar to come and assist the Turks. Unfortunately," she sighed, "I met up with Sephiroth before finding any AVALANCHE members, and was forced to disarm and disrobe. Then, when Sephiroth did leave me be (and with his cloak to cover myself), Tifa and I had already engaged in a quarrel. I had her under my control... But then some dragon came out of nowhere and really messed things up. Reno, Tifa, and Cloud all fought the dragon... But I couldn't put myself to harming the beautiful beast. To end the story, Cloud and Tifa got away, and Reno and I were heading off to meet the other Turks when we stopped here so I could get some decent clothing. Of course, nothing going well, the helicopter ceased to work. I've repaired it now, but we're just going to spend the night here."

Sirius kept her eyes on Rael through-out her whole story; he seemed sincerely interested. Most people had no intention of hearing was Sirius had to say, they only wished to stare at her breasts. She was honestly impressed.
