First day in 18 years!

Barn.......You can do it put a little booty to it......

Think about how many women will enjoy your kisses now and taste *you* not an ashtray...

How much better your lungs will feel....

How much better you will breathe and smell....

How much better you will taste your food....

How much better your teeth will look....

but most of all with every day and every cig you don't smoke...how much you will enjoy knowing you might live longer...
 Please keep it up....we love you here..:D :rose:

Hey barn my friend..I wish you all the luck in the world..I dont smoke and never have,,,but please believe me I thank God everyday that I was that lucky...I know how hard it is..I watch my parents deal with it...but I know it can be done..

Stay with everyone and know that any one of us would be more than happy to talk with you anytime you need it...

Hey barn i don't know you at all but this thread is very timely for me.
I quit smoking in january with the help of zyban. Didn't have any cravings nothing. Was working really well, had no cravings when other smokers were around didn't even think about it. A couple of weeks ago someone let me bum a smoke. Don't ask me what i was thinking because i don't know. Since then i'm having a few cravings and this weekend was very stressful and i had a couple more. Seeing this thread made me crave more. Thanks a lot, just bugging. Good luck to you and if you want to start a support group let me know:)

Ok Barn....you got through the weekend! How'd it go at work today sweetie?

You know we're all here for you, anytime you need or want to talk ok hon?

Hey Barn, you didn't go postal on anyone did you? I know how the withdrawl can be a bitch and make you feel like choking the crap out of those that annoy you. I'm hoping that this hasn't happened to you!

-kym- Wishing Barn the best in his endeavour to give the ciggys the boot! :rose:

One other thing hon. After you quit, you realize just how much cigarettes stink, and then you realize you smell just like them. It's truly disgusting!:(

Boy, that's the truth muff.......after I got all that nicotine out of my system, and my sense of smell and taste returned....the ciggie smell became really offensive to me. Now I can sense ciggie smoke 50 feet away.
I'm starting to realize that now! lol. :)

~~DON"T GIVE UP~~

I know you're going
to make it...
It may take time
and hard work
You may become frustrated
and at times you'll feel
like giving up
Sometimes you may even
wonder if it's really
worth it
But I have confidence in you,
and I know you'll make it
if you try................

G' morning Barn. Glad to see you're still hanging in and getting thru the withdrawls. It does get better.
I'm sure that you've heard the theory that cigs are as menatally addicting as heroin and just as difficult to quit. Even years after cessation, one can have the cravings.
All I know is that at times I want a smoke, but thankfully my good judgement over rides that silly thought.:p
Stick to your guns Barn, I see the women of Lit are queueing up already. :rose:

-kym- Taking my place in the  queue :D

It's amazing isn't it?!? I can actually smell cigarette smoke coming from the car in front of me sitting at a traffic light! When I come home from someone's house that smokes inside, I have to take everything I wore and throw it in the washer, and wash my hair to get the smell out! It's horrible.:(
That's true. Because of all of our clothes would smell like cigs from dad smoking and finally mom had him go outside to smoke, but even though we did not smoke, being around it all the time it affected our smelling and after getting everyone off cigs and go somewhere I can smell that smell from such a distance, it makes me sick. I still have some cousins that smoke and when my son goes over for even just a few hours he comes back smelling like smoke and have to have him shower and wash his clothes to get the smell out. Well it looks like you are doing well. Hang in there. We are cheering you on!
