I went fishing on a friend's property a few weeks ago.

Caught a bunch of rainbow trout, but all of them were pretty small so I threw them back.
 
I'm going halibut fishing all day Sunday. Hopefully, the weather stays sunny enough for me to unrust.
 
Big Rock is coming up. Huge Marlin. Thor, you know what I mean. Huge fishies. Good stuff. Tag and release and keep the meat fish to friends and yourself.

Lucky you, we're meant to go out Monday but I'm thinking the gale force winds and pelting rain might put an early end to it. :mad:

Sometimes we get walleye but I'm really trying for bluegills and perch- BEST tasting fish right out of the lake, cleaned and eaten the same day. MMMMMMM..... GOOD!

Grayling are the best when taken directly from the water to the pan.....yummy!

I really do miss walleye. They were my favorite while growing up in Minnesota.
 
We had a fairly successful halibut fishing trip with our friend yesterday. We went to a place called Spatzky Island, about a 2 hour run from Juneau. I only got skeered once-going around Point Retreat where 5 bodies of water come together. It can get damn bumpy.

Everytime we dropped a line, we'd catch a halibut. The majority of them were "ChickieButts" and we released them. We ended up with about 30 pounds of filleted fish.

We saw 2 pods of killer whales, lots of eagles and one lone seal.

Faces have been blocked out to protect the innocent.
