I kissed Loki good bye, rather liking the almost homey "see you later" kiss. Comforting in a way, I guess. Ah, Loki, I sighed, falling onto my couch. While not Niki, he was fun, considerate, kind and caring- probably better for me the Niki could be. But the heart is a stupid thing and I knew I'd love Niki till my dying day, no matter who else I loved as well.
Moving along, I finished my homework, wrote my thesis rough draft, feed my angel fish and headed out to my car, letting the road guide me where it would for the time being. I loved my RX7!

::She stepped out from beneath the pipe ramp and watched as Nicolus rode the board. She was dressed in the typical black business suit and dark glasses. With her though she had a briefcase which she set at her feet as she spoke.::

Im just here to warn you again that you are being used by your two cohorts and that they are leaving a trail behind them that is leading my investigation to you over and over again.

While were are not sure exactly what they have planned at the moment, we know it involves you. So I am here to offer you a deal. We are offering you a plea bargin. You get as much information as you can to put these two away, and we wipe your slate clean of all crimes computer or otherwise...Even that parking ticket that youve let slip for six months now. Gone. Alex was elbow deep in cyberspace in the CIA website before he found his file. He was suprised to see that there was quite a bit of information in the file about him. More than there should have been since he was very particular about covering his tracks. He wondered if there was an informant in the circle of hackers that he hung out with.

He was about to full back off the website when he found the name of the agent that had been assigned his case, Lois Key. He wracked his brain, trying to figure out why that name sounded so familiar. Pondering this, he backed out of the website, covering his tracks with his usual skill.

Parked in a forested wildlife sancuary and walked into the trees, shifting into a feline form, dashing through the leaves from tree to tree.
Exercise is always more fun in cat-girl form.

I dis mounted my biard looked her in the face "peace. i got to go im moving on my own today" I left didnt look back Ihad too just kill time didnt want to see loki and i couldnt crash at Peorth's like i nurmaly do when i dont want to go home. but i cant believe she hooked up with my big bro. and juli i didnt know that well and i couldnt trust her but i had to at lest till we are dine in Tennessee.

I washed up in a spring and was back in my car, looking like my normal self again about an hour later. I took to the road, letting fate pull me along as she willed. I was cut off rather abruptly by a motorcyle. Freaking idiot- wait that's Niki!
Normally he's a great rider, I could't figure out why he was driving so badly. Surely couldn't be because he saw me and Loki...
I followed after him, catching him at a gas station where he stopped to fill his tank.
I pulled up beside him, nodded to the attendant to fill mine up as I talked to him.
"Hey, Niki, what's up?"

I Road around for awile think trying tofigure out what i was going to do for the night I was driving prity hard and fast cuting cars off left and right . Soon as i had stoped to get some gas in my tank i herd some one call my name it Was Babe.

"Hey, Niki, what's up?"

"nada Babe, What do you Want?" I Didnt relise it But i Was Asking that insuch amanner i wasn't asking what she wanted at the moment but What she relly wanted. She just looked at me for a moment like she cought what i reealy was asking her,but it cought her off gourd Befor she answerd i Spoke again.

"Im driving around thinking about where im gonna stay to Night i dont want to see loki to night at all."

I looked at Niki and tilted my head in thought. I asked my question out loud. "What did Loki do? Wait- you don't have to tell me, something should remain between brothers. You can crash at my place if you really want to. I just finished the spare bedroom about a week ago. I don't think you've seen it yet."

I left the gas station and drove straight to Juli's Place i knocked on the door and she invited me in We talked a bite I aske dher how she new Alex She side steeped and gave me some BS. I than Asked If She Was Dateing himShe denide it. than i told her that the CIA Was Asking About her and only her. She looked puseld .

"Here i going Call me on my Cell If you need any thang." I Walked out and And got back on my bike and road off when i got To Babes Apartment it was verry late i Sliped in And Changed in to my DoJO pants I Was in the guest bed room it was nice done in A japaness DoJo . i liked it I Started to Workout doing a varriation on Tichi. next thing I Knew babe Was at the Door I loked at her As I finnished up

I said in a jokinly manner For some reson iliked babe she made me cofertaable i knew i was safe. she flirted bake with me we stayed up all night talking joking flirting it was good. but It was 6:30 I need to get a move On.

IC: "Laters, cutie," I said with a sigh. I shot a look at the clock. THank the Heaven's I didn't have to work today. I collapsed into my bed, asleep as soon as I hit the pillow.

Juli got into her car and drove to her apartment. She was so disappointed she was almost sure that he would remember.

She decided maybe Nikki needed some sort of reminder.. maybe if he wasnt busy he could come over.

She picked up her cell and dialed Nikolis's number.

"Hey Nikki its me Juli.. uh huh.. well maybe we can talk about this at my house can you meet me there? okay great I'll see you in a bit."

Alex

Alex was perplexed by the interest in the government. He had never left trails behind to be followed. Something was not kosher at this point. Taking out his cell phone, he called the CIA local field office. Giving the name of a police captain that had once busted him for marijuana and his badge number, he was able to bluff his way through to getting Lois Key's cell number.

He called her number , but she did not pick up. He was able to here her voice when her message came up on the number. Alex was silent for a few minutes as he filtered through his mind to try and remember that voice. Then it hit him. Turning off his cell phone, Alex pulled out his college yearbook and turned to the computer club that he had been a member of.

There was Lois, at least in black and white. She had seemed a little old to be in college back then, but many people had gone back to school to better themselves. Alex wondered if it was a coincidence or if the government had been keeping an eye on him for a long time. Shuddering at that thought, Alex shut the yearbook and returned it to the shelf. This could bring in some unwanted problems.

I was walking though mists, the ground beneth my feet golden- a giant golden game board.
I stood before the All Father, the Odin, the Goddess' Consort, head bowed. He sat there, studying me, a smile on his lips.
"We've missed you, Rune-child."
I smiled back at him, only somewhat sadly. "I have choosen to live this human-like life till its end. When it ends I shall return to the Heavens with you once more."
"Well we know that," the Consort said with a nod. "We proffer a warning."
"I listen with open ears."
"Be careful of those humans you've choosen to live with, Pertho. They will cause harm to those you love."
"I hear and heed," I said respecfully. "I love you and your gentle Lady."
"And we you," The Consort said as the world began to fade.
I awoke from the dream that was not a dream. It was rare for the Consort to talk to anyone other then Goddess, even if that someone was a demi-goddess in her own right. To talk to someone on the mortal plan, Midguard, was unherd of.
I wrote all that I could remember down in my dream journal and picked up the phone. I caught Loki's cell, hopping he was there. He needed to be warned of this.

::He had just stepped from a hot shower and began drying himself off. His mind was ablur with what all he was doing. Peorth, Niki, and now his dealings as Lois with Alex and his associate.

His gut told him something was going to happen and it wasnt somthing good. That is when his cell phone rang.::

Loki .... hello sweetheart I was just thinking about you, what is on your mind?

Alex took the pen from the courier and signed the paperwork. He did not think the sword would be able to go on the plane. So he had arranged for a courier service to bring the "package" to a storage place that Alex had rented out a space at. That way when they arrived in Nashville, they could go pick up the sword.

Alex gave the man an extra $20 tip. "Make sure this gets there in the next day, I do not care if you have to drive straight through. " Alex watched as the man walked off carrying the package of antiques marked "fragile" in his arms. Alex went back to packing up his meager belongings. He knew that when the job was finished in Nashville, that he probably would not be able to come back here.

"Only good things I hope?" I teased before becoming serious. I told him of my dream with the Consort and the warning at the end. "I wonder what he meant though, that the humans I love will bring me harm. For once I'd love go get a clear prophesy. Oh well, what's your take on it? Wait- first, what's that dripping sound- did I pull you from the bath?"

::He chuckled slightly hearing her ask if it was all good thoughts.::

::He then listened to her speak of the dream and the prophesy all the while trying to dry off one handed.::

Hmmm, that does sound odd...what humans do you know aside from the staff at the Resturante and the club?

::He laughed again seeing her break mid sentence to ask if he had just got out of the shower::

"Loki!" I said with a mock gasp. "Such a thing to say to one such as me."
I laughed, already feeling better. "Other then a few class mates I swap notes with and the staff of Skors and your place, the only humans I've known lately are Alex and that Julia girl."
I pondered this for a bit. "But how could they hurt me? That makes no sense."

Alex put both of his bags in the trunk of his car. He started the car and drove over to Juli's apartment. Locking up the car, he went up to her door. He rang through the intercom. "Hon, its me. Its time to go."

Juli finished putting her things into her overnight bag. She figured if she needed anything more for the weekend she would buy it.

Nikolis never called her back, but mentions ed he wanted to come with them so she assumed that when they left Niki would be with them.

Looking around the apartment she finished her last minute preps for whenever she took a trip and then picked up her bag. Just then Alex beeped over the intercom that he was here. sighing she locked her door and went downstairs.

She tossed her bag into Alex's trunk gave him a big and and a peck on the cheek and then slid into the front passenger seat in the car.

After Alex got into the car Juli asked him, "So, is Nikki comming with us?"

Maybe we better start traveling together then. With me around I doubt anyone would try to do anything to you....

::He finished drying himself off and wrapped the towel around his neck::

"Hmm... you just got out of the shower... you stay just how you are, I'll be over in a few moments."
I dressed as we finished talking, flirting blatently. It felt good to flirt, to be called beautiful again. It had been a long time. Loki really was a great guy.
Pity I loved Niki, I mused with a heavy sigh. One of those, can't shake it, get rid of it, or leave it behind kind of loves.
And yet, I was starting to care for Loki... tis a weird world indeed.

I showed up on Loki's doorstep, helmate tucked under my arm, wearing a skin tight bike suit, heeled boots, hair caught up in a short braid, smile on my lips.
I rang the bell and waited for my host.
