Flood, fires, tornadoes, hurricanes... all exacerbated by climate change and no state is immune, yet trump's talking about shutting down FEMA

FEMA is a failed organization.

Florida, Texas, Louisiana and Alabama republicans will go ape-shit if Doddering Donnie actually attempts to cut federal disaster aid (because they are regularly hit by hurricanes).

Most likely Doddering Donnie will eliminate FEMA but shift all the same programs and funding into another department. Donnie is a show pony.
He said eliminate the middle man (FEMA) and send disaster funding directly to the states where it would be spent more efficiently. Libtards can't even spell *efficiently* never mind understand the meaning.

And you promote a lot of that hate and indifference.
howdy traitor!
as a witness to many of your interactions with the member known as Lazaran - you're mistaking him giving all your treasonous logic a swift kick as hatred and indifference towards you. Hope that helps. :)

MajorRewrite is intellectually divorced from any reality involving Donald Trump, like what he actually said.

You just say shit thinking it makes sense. The people in western North Carolina were unprepared for the massive handling of a hurricane. How does eliminating FEMA help in that situation or ANY really? You eliminated the so called middle man - now what?

🙄

Imagine the “send disaster funding directly to the states” strategy in action / reality:

A state gets devastated, and now it has to deal not only with the direct effects of the disaster, but also ALL of the logistics and resourcing of the relief effort.

And how would states’ disaster responses be funded??? Preemptively???

How would taxes be affected???

What happens when a state’s disaster is so massive it overwhelms any one state’s ability to manage / deal with it??? Say “Fuck ‘em” ???

Is the funding for each state’s disaster response equitable???

Does each state get a yearly allowance that is capped???

🤔

So many questions…

😑

ineedhelp1 apparently "thinks" redesigning the wheel in the shape of a square is a good idea…

Get a fucking clue. Trump never said he would pull back on federal assistance. He never said that funding wouldn't be closely supervised either. He just said that governors are best positioned to direct funding where it's needed most. See! this is why you and Bs2s are disjointed from reality. TDS!!!

Governors already direct the funding.

So for those not quite getting it - fema sends money to the states based on the governors requests and coordination with disaster relief groups. The governors then direct that funding to the efforts they see fit.

And Fema then creates a report of that money every month.

Disaster Relief Fund: Monthly Reports | FEMA.gov https://search.app/oEEsFfRRPRvQWMdy6

The report is really helpful when dipshits tell you that North Carolina residents only received $700 or that Hawaii only got $750

It’s simple. ‘resident ‘rump wants more power than a run of the mill President
Kiss his ass then you get the support he thinks you need
Purse strings?? He knows he needs that power

I actually decided to speak to the board’s MAGAts like DonOld speaks to anyone who disagrees with that orange megalomaniac, because that is the level of communication the board’s MAGAts seem to relate / respond to: Name calling, derision, juvenile barbs, meanness, cruelty, condescension, total intransigence, profanity, etc, etc.

Imagine my surprise when the board’s MAGAts did NOT like it one bit when they were on the receiving end of DonOld level discourse…

Red State Governors have neglected to ask for FEMA funding, enabling the Fraudster to claim that FEMA has 'done nothing'.

Poorly educated fools believe what a Fraudster tells them.

Ineedhelp1 is an impossibly ignorant fucktard.

President Musk (and DonOld) CLEARLY wants something other than what is CURRENTLY being done via the FEMA program.

Of course, President Musk (and DonOld) probably doesn’t know jackshit about what FEMA actually does or how the federal response works in regard to MAJOR disasters in individual states, so…

Fema already sends money to states directly
Personally, I think FEMA has a role to play it just needs better management. The same can be said for the Army Corp of Engineers. There are hard working FEMA employees taking a bad rap for mismanagement. Each state already has an organic emergency management agency and having worked with FEMA directly FEMA does bring a certain expertise to the states, lately they just can't seem to get out of their own way. Both FEMA and USACE have become bloated agencies. There seems to be a problem with unity of command and breakdowns in areas of responsibility. I believe with a new SEC of DHS things could improve. I believe governors should have more say in logistic operations since they're privy to the landscape. IMHO

FEMA needs an overhaul.

This whole statement sums your ass up. Just one complaint after another. You said absolutely nothing. No solutions. Typical of Republicans to complain against something, then not fund to Complain about it not working even more. Shut your treasonous ass up.

FEMA dropped the ball in NC and the Palestine Ohio debacle.

Governors work with FEMA directly.

I don't disagree that some adjustments may be needed

But the lies about fema not even providing funding to the states or that Trump is suggesting a change that would lead to money going to governors because it isn't now, continues to be an issue. All Trump needs to say is that reorg is needed to better coordinate with governors.

Instead.....he says stupid shit that is a lie which directly leads to his base wanting to burn it all to the ground.

You don't fix anything that way.

FEMA needs an overhaul.

🙄

I’m sure ineedhelp1 and President Musk (and DonOld) have “concepts of a plan” to overhaul FEMA…

😑

Not one of them understands what FEMA does / has done in response to MAJOR disasters in individual states, but they won’t let that stop them from formulating “concepts of a plan” to “overhaul” FEMA.

FEMA dropped the ball in NC and the Palestine Ohio debacle.
The governor in NC dropped the ball at worst. And Palestine was waiting on the railroad companies who owned the cleanup.

As with everything, the reality of the issue is much more complex.

FEMA needs an overhaul.
You, by saying eliminate the middleman, means an end to FEMA. Stop fucking us around with your backtrack bs talking about overhaul and being more efficient.

There is always a middleman between fed and states.

Hey @derpy! You live in California. Where are these valves?

President Donald Trump vowed to sign an executive order to open up the water pumps and valves to help speed up fire response across California.
