Nonsense. Ukraine kept this secret because of what we call OPSEC or operational security.

From the Ukrainian point of view Trump and his people are at high risk for revealing sensitive information to Russia.

No doubt there would have been people in the US who would have warned Russia of the impending attack because it involved Russia's strategic bomber forces and (perhaps) a couple of Russia's nuclear submarines at Severomorsk.

The result is that Ukraine in one day did more to disarm Russia than eighty years of flaccid negotiations with those monsters ever did.

There is no need for Ukraine to torpedo any "peace" talks. Putin has no intention of negotiating any peace agreement as you well know. Russia has consistently insisted on Ukrainian capitulation and is still doing so. There is no basis even for negotiations to start. As for foreign policy, Trump has none, only sound bites, and as soon as an agreement is reached, he breaks it. Kind of like his role model, Putin. There's a good reason Trump has refused to provide any security guarantees to Ukraine as part of any peace agreement - he understand full well that for Putin any peace agreement is just a stepping stone to regroup and then attack again.....he hoped to cow Ukraine into giving the farm away and then walk away from the cnsequences of his betrayal while crying crocodile tears about "peace". Trump is WORSE than Neville Chamberlain - at least Chamberlain genuinely believed he had averted a war. Trump is simply stoking this one by encouraging Putin to think he can win.

Recall that Taco signed a trade agreemnt with the UK that included no tariffs on UK steel and aluminium. He just broke it, imposing 25% tariffs on UK steel and aluminium. He reneged on the Budapest Agreement with Ukraone. He broke every Trade law and agreememt in existence with his unilateral tariffs and destroyed the whole international trade negotiating process that has taken decades to put in place.He's also destroyed the aliuance with Canada, the closest friend we have in the world - and that relationship cannot now ever be rebuilt the way it was. 51st State my ass. That was the one thing that could unite Canadian and it sure did.

And if you think Ukraine ever even mentioned this attack to the US......no one in their right mind would mention an operation like this to the USA. The CIA would never have been in the loop and any Ukrainian considering that should have been fired - but Ukrainians aren't that stupid. They know the US plays a double game, and that we are quick to betray our so-called allies for any reason whatsover. Israel is well aware of this too. Ukraine has been taught this lesson thru bitter experience, and Europe and Canada are learning along with them.

There's no need to crater Trump's foreign policy goals. Whatever goals he had, he's cratered them himself already. The USA has turned into persona non-grata pretty much everywhere.
