For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

The key to peace lies in financing Ukrainian military production. Ukraine is fully capable of producing a variety of key weapon systems—including air defense, drones, and missiles—that don’t cost millions of dollars each.

One of the most effective air defense strategies would be domestic missile production. If every Russian missile strike were followed by two Ukrainian strikes, Russia would be far less willing to target our cities.

Is this the beginning of a massacre of Russian drone operators? Russian propaganda channels have started complaining en masse about the hunt by the ZSU for UAV operators of the Russian Armed Forces, which has become much more active almost immediately after the appointment of "Madyar" as commander of the SBS. At the same time, according to the Russians, the Ukrainians do not spare any means at all to fulfil these tasks - they use, among other things, even HIMARS to target the locations of Russian drone operators. In addition, the Russian milbloggers note that a significant number of Ukrainian UAV operators have joined the hunt for enemy "colleagues" - even to the detriment of destroying logistics and other targets.

Madyar," the new ZSU overall commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, has made Russian drone operators his priority target. His points system for drone units awards 25 points for a destroyed drone operator and 12 for a wounded one.For a killed soldier 12 points, 8 for wounded.

This is a very smart move. Ukrainian drone operators win points to acquire additional drones that they can order off the ZSU's marketplace app. Prioritization has been give to eliminating russian drone operators. Ukraine must maintain its drone superiority. Russian soldiers are next - and normally I'd say hit's backwards, that WIA are more important than KIA, but given the horrible Russian military medical (lack of) system, there's really not much difference since WIA become corpses very frequently anyway. So yeah, KIA scores big, ahead of tanks and MLRS systems even. Nice.

And?

The village consists of people who farm the surrounding area. Which is no longer under Ukrainian control.
What is your point? Russia advanced. Okay, it took some farmland. Is that a significant territorial gain or of military strategic value?

Why did you point that out without explaining your purpose?

My point should have been obvious. Despite your belief that Ukraine is winning, Russia is taking and keeping Ukrainian territory. Which, while not being observably strategic in a military sense, is in fact a victory for Russia and a loss for Ukraine. A loss which will slowly be compounded as more and more land is seized and placed under Russian control.

Your assessment may be correct. If Trump had provided support to the level asked by Ukraine, Russia would more likely have been pushed out of that seized territory. We failed them. Trump failed to add another ally, one rich in resources and one holding democratic goals. That is unfortunate.

Now, Ukraine is forging new alliances, and other nations are taking up the slack. As a result of Trump's actions, we are kicked to the curb in terms of military support and are considered a suspect ally among NATO members.

On the other hand, given the multi-year battle and now over a million Russians dead in taking those few miles of territory, it has shown that it came at a steep price. Ukraine was underestimated by Putin, who expected this to be a short-term sweep-in-and-conquer type of war, and spectacularly roll over them. Instead, Russia is struggling, losing men, equipment, and suffering under economic sanctions.

You may recall Nazi Germany rolled over much of Russia and stalled out, losing in the end. Its military might failed due to the support of the advancing troops and the weather. Russia is facing similar issues in this war. With tanks and artillery being depleted, troops are often in disarray, and men have used motorcycles to advance as military vehicles are unavailable. Ukraine has taken the war to Russia.

Ukraine has stalled Russian advances and even taken the war deep into Russian territory on many new fronts. Imagine the US telling Ukraine it could not use deep-reaching missiles because we didn't want to antagonize Putin. Now that the release has been given, we see those changes taking place. The craftiness of drone warfare has been an unforeseen force that has kept the pressure on Russia.

dudly, WTF do you think BIDEN was doing for the PAST TWO YEARS? And Ukraine still couldn't push back enough to keep Russia from gaining territory.

You attempting to place this on Trump is bullshit. Trump WARNED Zelensky that he was going to lose and that's what's beginning to happen. Ukraine cannot win. It cannot even regain the land it has lost and risks losing more, if not all, despite the damage its been inflicting on Russia.

It isn't an attempt. It's facts. Biden did not take the necessary actions to advance Ukraine's efforts. He held back, though not to the extent that Trump has.

Are you surprised at that statement? LOL

Trump tried to steal mineral rights, tried to give away territory to Russia that was not his to give. Tried to blame Zelenskyy for starting the war and called him a criminal. What else do you expect from a felon himself?

We have not held back aid from Israel. They used our resources and intel each and every day. Trump buggered that supply and intel chain to Ukraine in order to force it to capitulate. He failed; Zelenskyy didn't buckle to his rants.

The felon also WARNed Putin, but did nothing. Why? Got any insight on that?

Ukraine is building momentum. It will take some time for new, better allies to funnel weapons to Ukraine. The Ukrainians have proven they can adapt and have the will to persevere. Hands down, they are wiping Russian asses in battle. Yes, Russia has territory, but at a high and unsustainable rate of loss. The tipping point will come with the promised and inbound resources flowing to Ukraine.

Zaporizhia is a village with a prewar population of 200.
So, because you're ignorant of its importance, let me school you on some facts. Zaporizhia is militarily important because:

It’s the keystone of the land bridge to Crimea.

It hosts vital transport routes for Russian logistics.

It serves as a gateway for any potential Ukrainian southern offensive.

It carries symbolic weight in both military and political terms

All of which demonstrates why even small villages become battlegrounds, not because of their size, but because of their strategic position within larger operational goals, cutting supply lines, threatening Crimea, and testing the effectiveness of NATO-standard weapons and tactics.

Blaming Trump for everything is really really getting old.

The shit started hitting the fan with the Afghanistan withdrawal. Just think of how much better a strategic and tactical position we would be in if we had Bagram air base.

Biden's feckless foreign policy is the reason Ukraine is in the mess it's in now. Biden's *corn pop* warnings didn't work against Putin, he just laughed it off.

"DON'T"

🙄

ineedhelp1 (a traitor) claimed they criticized DonOld over DonOld’s Afghanistan policy, but here is ineedhelp1 ONCE AGAIN blaming President Biden for EVERYTHING…

😑

👉 ineedhelp1 🤣

🇺🇸

Also:

If the U.S. had still been entangled in Afghanistan (and even MOAR entangled if President Biden had scuttled DonOld’s “Doha Deal” with the Taliban & restarted a hot war in Afghanistan), then the U.S. would be in a far less flexible position to deal with / focus on Russia in Ukraine AND Iran & their proxies.

THANK YOU PRESIDENT BIDEN!!!

👍

We. Told. Them. So.

A pound of BS and equal parts MSNBC fan fiction and Twitter-level hysteria. So let’s get this straight: Trump, who armed Ukraine with lethal aid after Obama sent blankets, is somehow the villain, while Biden, who delayed artillery, rationed air defenses, and slow-walked long-range missiles until battlefield momentum slipped, is the hero? But keep cheering for a “tipping point” while Russia sweeps the Eastern front, global fatigue grows, and your sacred narrative becomes more convoluted than coherent.

Putin taught this dude well.

I don't know that I've ever seen someone parrot Putin so well

This is a war of attrition. Russia's warmaking ability will be exhausted first because Russia has no foreign support and Ukraine has.

Using the word felon to describe Trump is such a childish ploy, it makes you look even more petty than you already are.
