I used to like Yogi Bear.

Oh yes...Yogi and Boo~Boo. The pic~A~nic basket thieves. Now that was a great set of morals to teach our young and impressionable minds. ;)

Kind of like Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd always blowing each other way with shotguns.

And Micheal...didn't you ever notice how much time Fred and Barney spent alone together? Barney always had that little twinkle in his eye too when he was talking to Fred. Bowling league three nights a week my ass. they were on the down-low! :D

Watch THIS and you will never, ever, hear Wagner in quite the same way again.

It's hard to believe this is 45 years old...

'Mama Told Me Not to Come' ~Three Dog Night
Where HAVE all the years gone?

As young as that?
I rather like this version:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7Ds7d3opPg

I ran into an old school friend a month or so back. According to the calendar, it had been at least 50 years since we had last shared a glass of wine. We also agreed that it must have been some sort of sci-fi joke. :)

It's just as bad after 40 years at a 'Class reunion'.

I was complaining the other day to my brother about getting old and not believing my 40th reunion was last year. He looked me in the eye and flipped me the bird as he said, "Cry me a river. My 55th is in September!"

He had a point.

If we are gonna dig up the old stuff, let's go old:

Ol' Man River from Showboat

(HP: You won't believe what surfaced from the same collection of WW2 stuff. Sixty-three original UK and European theater editions of 'Stars & Stripes' starting two weeks after D-Day and running to the end of August '44. Unbelievable and fascinating reading.)

Showboat was one of the first musicals that I saw live. My mother was a theatrical make-up artist and, as kids, we often got to go to the dress rehearsals. Carousel and South Pacific were two of the other 'new' shows I remember seeing live. :)

Political Correctness has imposed itself upon popular music: See HERE.

My Mum was a Red Cross Nurse.
For some reason she would not take me to some of her exercises. . .

You know how to tell which nurse is the head nurse, don't you?

She's the one with the dirty knees. ;)
