Frosthold-swords and sorcery

"Nay lass, it must be kept quiet." Forgall said "Many of my clann and of our kingdom distrust the warriors of Lough Orainn, and them knowing that my mother was one of them would be terrible."

"No one will hear of it from my lips" She offered him a reassuring smile. Her excitement over seeing these warriors started to vanish. "How much further do we have to go till we reach the village?"

"You have ruined all of my fun today!", Reginleif laughed at Hrist through the cheering of the crowd. Hrist was glad she had spared with Reginleif. Reginleif was angry about not being able to go trading with the elves and Hrist suspected that she had a love interest waiting there. Reginleif's anger made her hold back less which made her a good sparing partner. Hrist continued to joke around with Reginleif and the other women that had approached until she noticed Skuld standing off to the side waiting.

Hrist walked towards Skuld and was about to say something to her when Skuld silenced her. Skuld turned to face south and looked confused.

"What is it?" Hrist asked.

"The wards are sending out a warning. I do not know how many people are approaching but who ever it is has magic and that's what set the wards off." Skuld told her.

"I'll send a troop to see who they are."

"Go with them child, it is important. Keep your distance until you are sure of them."

Hrist thanked her and started to choose from the women who would go with her. After she delegated the tasks of getting the troop prepared, she ran to her hut to get her bow and cape. The leather armor she had been wearing to spar in should be suitable she decided. It would protect her but it was flexible and light enough that she could still move in it.

Hrist walked out of the gates of the village where fifteen other similarily cloaked women waited for her orders. Hrist gave the orders to start and Reginleif stepped up to keep stride with her. Reginleif looked over at her friend and asked,

"Is this really necessary? It is a bit of over kill to deal with what could be a lost mage."

"Something bad is going on and Skuld is concerned about it and on edge after her last rune reading. It is better to err on the side of caution until we are sure of what is going on."

Hrist then sent out two of the women to scout out where the party in question was.

Shayla Fae'Danan

They started walking again. Shayla was beside Forgall when she felt something strange, she couldn't describe it. "Forgall, I think there is magic here." The words fell out of her mouth before she had a chance to stop herself. She blushed at the thought that Forgall would think she was being a silly girl. But the feeling was getting stronger the further they walked. She didn't think they were in danger, but something definitly didn't feel right. She looked around the frost covered forest. There was nothing there. There was nothing anywhere. Her heart started to pound, something definitly wasen't right. "We need to stop for a moment."

Hrist, Reginleif, and the rest of the group moved quietly through the trees, their cloaks helping them blend in with the forest. It wasn't long before the two scouts ran back and gave their report to Hrist.

"There are two Riada, two elves, and a beast man from the wolf clan."

Hrist frowned at the strange description of the intruders and started to form a plan. She turned to Reginleif and said,

"You, five others, and I will approach the group directly. But before we do that have the remaining warriors surround the intruders."

Hrist gave the orders and eight warriors left to carry out their mission as the rest of the party made their way forward. Hrist quickly finished filling Reginleif in on the rest of the plan.

Hrist walked at a swift pace towards the intruders, giving the rest of the group time to get into place. She gave the signal
and got her bow ready.

While remaining hidden, Reginleif called out to the intruders,

"Halt! Throw down your weapons and give your names and reason for trespassing."

ooc: Wicca, you will have to find a way to get yourself into the story. I think you will have some problem with the never venturing out during the day. Exp. Are they going to have to wait for night to travel or leave you behind?

cahir and forgall

ooc: ithica is right

"I am Prince Cahir MacCernach." Cahir said "I have come for business with the Warriors of Lough Orainn." he said, staring at the female warriors.

OOC :Hey WiccaNocte, Maybe you could be one of the women from the village, Ithica is there leader, so maybe PM her and talk to her about what some of your options could be. I would love to have anouther person writing on this thread.

Laughter went through the warriors surrounding the group. The seven visible warriors kept their arrows nocked and stepped in closer to the group. Hrist was surprised that the prince was here. It had been a long time since they had dealings with anyone associated with the royal family, let alone a member.

Reginleif stepped up to Cahir and said,

"Then you are in luck, princeling. You have found them. State you business."

"Then you are in luck, princeling. You have found them. State you business."

Shayla, took out her bow, as if to put it down, but she kept it in her hands. She wasn’t sure what to do. They were surrounded, which made her nervous, but she also knew that they needed these warriors help.

“I wish to see your leader,” Cahir said. “It is important that I speak with her.”

OOC: I've been thinking of doing a casting call for some of the characters that have been abandoned, Like the elf and the other Raida, also for some of the Warriors, and maybe if someone wants to come in with one of their own characters. And we could give Deevo's character to someone else on a temperary basis, just in case he comes back. What do you think?
