Snake Eyes
Damn! One of the bullets in the initial swarm had connected with my shoulder. The hot metal was burning in my skin as I took cover from the rest of the onslaught behind a tree. Using a small dagger to dig into my arm, I pull a small operation on myself to remove the burning object. Gritting my teeth in pain, the daggers point cuts into the skin as the bullet comes loose from it's location. Letting the bloody object plop out of my arm, I use a piece of cloth to cover and protect my arm for now.
Once it is secured in it's place, I rest against my wooden shield while my two attackers continued their assault. Reaching into the pack on the side, my hand pulls out a single hand gun that I had been able to keep. The government made most of us return the weapons we had that they felt 'civilians' should not be allowed to carry. This left me with very little in fire power to have at my side now.
My grip on the gun tightened as I prepared to face my attackers when suddenly... they stoped. Could it be a trick to get me out in the open for them? Suddenly, the sound of a pair of footsteps could be barely heard heading towards me. Letting out a sigh of relief at knowing that these footsteps had too much stealth to belong to the two soldiers, I step away from my hiding place with my hand over the bullet wound as I greet my friends.
Behind Storm Shadow and Scarlett, I could see my two attackers motionless bodys laying across the floor. So far we had done a good job, but we needed to get out of here before Cobra sent more men after us.
