Zartan:

Walking into Jinx's apartment, Zartan, in his disguize goes imediatly over to her stereo system. He turned it on and up to a level that hid their voices rather well. He then turned to her with a worried look. She still had the door open, seeming rather shocked by his sudden appearance. With out a word he came up to her and shut the door, locking it. "You are in danger." He said simply as he leaned in toward her ear and put a hand on her shoulder. He pulled away from her ear and looked her in the eyes. His look of worry melted away as his grip on her shoulders tightened. In fact he began to smile menacingly at her.

 

[Isolde]

Lady Jaye

I answered Storm Shadow without looking up from manuevering the helecopter. "I figure if we were in trouble, than other Joes are in trouble. I dont know about you but, disbanding or not, their still our teammates and I dont plan on letting Cobra get to them."

I nodded to the computer screen. "Hope you're up for a little family reunion."

Pushing forward on the control stick, I milked all the power out of the copter I could. We didnt have a minute to waste.

 

[Angelus]

I looked out the main window and hoped that we would get there in time. Lady Jaye was right, if they had gone after Snake Eyes, Scarlett and herself then every Joe was in trouble. I walked back to sit next to Snake Eyes who signalled that everything was going to be okay. I looked at him, "I hope so, I know that Jinx can take care of herself but if Cobra is after her I am wondering who they are going to send out after her."

That had me worried, if it was a simple Viper then I knew she could defeat them without raising a sweat but if it was someone else then she would be in for the fight of her life and he was still too far away to help her.

 

[Moneytalks]

Jinx...

frowned, trying to shrug off Storm Shadow's hand.

"Thomas... what're you doing?" She said in an annoyed voice.

His grip tightened. He was hurting her. His smile wasn't right. Her eyes widened in shock.

"You're not Thomas..." She said. Suddenly she planted her booted heel onto his foot. This caused him to loosen his hand enough for her to get free from him for now.

"Who the hell are you?" She asked, her body already steadying into a defensive pose.

 

[Ravenloft]

Zartan:

With a dark smile the man spoke as his face took on a diferent shape and color. "Don't you know? I am the death of your uncle... And yours!" The man hissed as he took a lightning quick jab at her neck. His fingers struck a nerve along her slim neck and her legs suddenly gave out on her, as though they had been numbed somehow. She crumpled to her knees and he looked down at her, grasping a hand full of her hair, forcing her to look up at his mocking eyes. "But not to worry, I have instructions to make your death slow... So you have some time left to make peace with whatever god you worship." He then yanked on her hair and let loose as she fell backward against the door. He laughed mockingly at her.

 

[Moneytalks]

Jinx...

felt pain. Her uncle's killer? He had thrown her with that... she didn't even see his hand coming. Her knees gave out and the next thing she knew he was yanking her up by the hair. She bit back her scream of pain, not wanting to give him the satisfaction. Her eyes darkened with hatred as she stared into the face of the man who had killed her uncle.

She spat at him from where he had thrown her on the floor. "I'm not going that easy!" She hissed kicking out and making contact with his ankle.

 

[Isolde]

Lady Jaye

I looked at the computer and checked my positioning as we approached a cluster of buildings. Picking out the right one, I made a landing on the large roof. The apartment building owners were going to have some mad tenants calling him but that was his problem.

The helecopter had barely set down and the rotors weren't even stopped before Storm Shadow was out of the copter and blending with the shadows.

Looking back at Scarlett and Snake Eyes, I said,"Someone should stay with the copter in case we need a fast getaway and to cover your backs. But if you arent back in fifteen minutes I'm coming down there." I looked at Snake Eyes wondering if he was in shape to go...and wondering if anyone was going to tell him he couldnt.

I wasnt too happy about being left out of the action but I knew that I would be needed to fly the choper should anything go wrong.

Zartan:

Jinx's kick connected and made him drop to one knee, but the back of his fist struck out against her jaw, snapping her head violently to the right! He slowly stood as Jinx recovered from the painful blow. "I warn you, you test my patience like that once more and I may not follow my instructions..." He hissed as he crouched down before her. "Now to make you more... At home..." He said in an eiry tone. He produced a yellow pelet. Squeezing it between his fingers, a cloud of gas circled Jinx's face.

OOC: Sleeping gas...

 

[Moneytalks]

Jinx...

groaned in agony as his fist connected. She felt dazed. She blinked blearily and saw the yellow pellet.

"No!" She moaned... attempting to move... anything.

She smelt the familiar smell of it and then everything went black.

 

[Angelus]

I jumped out of the helicopter as soon as it landed but as soon as my feet touched the roof several Alley Vipers appeared from nowhere and began opening fire at us. I dived out of the way but not before closing the door to the helicopter and cutting off Snake Eyes and Scarlett to get hit from the deadly hail of bullets. I then shouted out to Lady Jaye to lift off so that the helicopters tanks wouldn't be hit. She looked down at me with a worried look before pulling back on the stick, causing the helo to lift off the roof and into the air.

I then turned and dived behind a large air vent, hoping to god that the Alley Vipers wouldn't slaughter me which was a distinct possibility.

 

[Ravenloft]

Zartan:

"Joe scum on the roof!" One of the Alley Vipers shouted into Zartan's com link. Zartan winced and pulled the damn thing out of his ear. Jinx was slumped to her side. "Hold them as long as you can then imbicile!" Zartan called back with a scowl. "I am buissy... Playing..." He said with a dark smile as he reached down, hoisting Jinx up onto his shoulder. Her arms dangled limply against his back as he walked to her bed room. He flipped her off his shoulder and onto the bed with a quiet grunt. reaching into his back pack he pulled out a length of silk rope. In minutes Jinx was tied to the bed. "That should keep you in place." He said as he tested the knots. They wern't gonna budge for a good long time, of that he was sure!

"Now little princess... Time to wake up... Don't want you to miss a second of the show..." He came to her side and held smelling salts under her nose.

 

[Moneytalks]

Jinx...

gasped and coughed... spluttering to wakefullness.

She groaned... with conciousness came the pain. Her jaw felt heavy and bruised. She tried to lift her hand to rub it and gasped, struggling futilely against the ropes that held her down so securely.

"What the hell?" Her eyes widened as she realised her predicament and who had her.

"You bastard! You'll never get away with this!" She hissed. Immediately realising how ridiculous her words were. No one was coming to save her... why would they. She felt her heart pounding... she was frightened. She wouldn't let it show though.

She glared up at him.

 

[Isolde]

Lady Jaye

"Damn!," I said as I was forced off of the roof and had to watch helplessly as Storm Shadow dodged bullets. This was a challenge-fortunately I loved a challenge. Getting the copter out of harms way, I circled back and said to Scarlett,"I'm going to drop you off onto the roof of the nearest building. You try to find a way in that way while I set this puppy in the deserted parking lot down the street and come in from the bottom. Try to help get those vipers off of Storm Shadow and then meet me at Jinx's apartment. There is no way I am going to sit back and let them kill one of ours."

Looking over at Snake Eyes, I say,"Are you going with her or is that a stupid question?"

Zartan:

After the smelling salts had taken effect Zartan stood strait up. He set his com link on the night stand beside Jinx's bed. He turned his eyes down onto her, giving her a tolerant smile. "Its okay to show your fear Jinx... After all it will stay between you me and... Death..." His hand snapped up and caught her throat. He began to throttle her. She couldn't draw breath! His hair hung down into his face and his eyes burned with a perverted pleasure as his lips curled up into the smile of a mad man.

 

[Moneytalks]

Jinx...

gasped... she could feel his strong fingers digging into her neck... cutting off her air. She jerked within her restraints desperately trying to throw him off. She was seeing stars... no... no... not like this.

His face lowered and she watched in horror his sadistic face drawing nearer. She jerked her head up suddenly whacking her forehead against his. The pain was intense but it loosened his grip slightly. She sucked in the air greedily... her throat raw.

As loud as she possibly could she screamed!

 

[Angelus]

Storm Shadow

As I ran around the roof, trying my hardest to dodge the bullets I knew that if someone didn't help me soon I would be dead. I looked at the Alley Vipers and knew that their was no way that I was going to get through their armor with my sword and their aim was getting better. I then felt something at my side and felt what it was then smiled. I pulled out the cylinder and threw it at one of the nearest Vipers, hitting him right in the chest.

The cylinder cracked open on impact with the Vipers chest armor and a smoke screen was created. I smiled before I ran straight towards the Viper and slashed with my sword at one of them, luckily getting the connecting pieces of armor of the neck and chest. When the Viper fell I heard, "Turn on your night vision and kill that damn ninja."

Before I knew what was happening bullets started to rain down around me and I had just enough time to run around one of the sides of the entrance into the building.

 

[Ravenloft]

Zartan:

His hands let loose of her throat as he touched his fore head where she had struck him with her head butt. Pulling it away he looked at his finger tips. No blood... "Shut up!" He barked at her as he back handed her across the left cheek, forcing her head to the side again. "Its a pity that I have to keep you concious for all of this..." He growled as he stood and took off his back pack. He set it beside the bed. He pulled out a vile of liquid. "Stay still... This one requires a bit of a still hand... Or it won't come out right..." He said calmly. Uncorking the vile he pushed Jinx's shirt up to reveal her stomach. She suddenly went completely still. Would he start some sort of sick sexual torture? the thought chilled her to the bone. His strong hand held her mid section firmly in place. He then poured the viles liquide slowly in a C shape around her belly button. Within seconds, what ever was in that vile began to burn into her flesh! Zartan stepped back and corked the vile, enjoying the show Jinx was sure to put on for him.

 

[Moneytalks]

Jinx...

felt the liquid dribble across her stomach... and then the burning pain set in. She gritted her teeth. He was waiting... watching to see her writh in pain. God damn it... she wouldn't!

Her eyes started to tear as she felt the burning worsen. She whimpered. Pressing her head back into the pillow trying to fight the pain. She remembered something... her master training her... she focused. It was so hard... it hurt so bad... she forced herself to remember.

She let her mind drift... found that dark place... slipped in. Her body relaxed. She opened her eyes. She didn't feel it anymore. "That the best you can do asshole?" She asked him calmly.

 

[Ravenloft]

Zartan:

"Good job, your still gonna have a scar... The longer you let it go the worse it will get... I... DO have a counteractive agent here that I can use... But your gonna have to ask me nicely..." Zartan said with that same dark smile.

Scarlett

Sitting down next to Lady Jaye, typing in the keyword, and waiting for the info to come up.
Lady Jaye turned the helo towards Jinx's appartment.
What Lady Jaye said was right. If Cobra had came after Snake Eyes and myself then they would be after the others as well.
I looked over at Snake Eyes, he was talking with Storm Shadow. He was worried. I could tell by his eyes. I smiled. Snake Eyes eyes were the most expressive. I liked that.
Feeling the helo slow and pull up, I saw we were nearly there.
Storm Shadow jumped out and yelled to take the helo up again.
Of course this immediately had me yelling at Lady Jaye to get us the hell back down. I reached for my cross bow. Grumbling because I could really do with a M15 or something.
I told Lady Jaye to buzz them. I opened the window...steadied.
PING...growling at the closeness of the bullet
I let fly with a bolt. The wind disturbance from the rotors made the bolt stray. It hit an Alley Viper in the arm. I heard Snake Eyes rustling around in the back of the helo.
I couldnt see what he was up to.
Lady Jaye started to buzz the Vipers.
One grabbed onto the ski of the helo...Lady Jaye immediately took the helo up and away from the building.
I opened the door, aimed the bolt at the Viper...smiled at him nicely. Then pulled the trigger.
I watched as he fell.
It was like Lady Jaye was reading my mind...GET THIS BACK TO JINX'S BUILDING.

 

[Renegade]

Snake Eyes

This normaly quiet and calm place had quickly turned into a warzone. And Storm Shadow was right there in the middle of the whole thing. The copter made it's way back to the building as Scarlett began to open fire on the vipers. She was able to take a couple down but many more where still left in their place. We had to get down their faster then we were going at this rate.

Reaching under the seat, I find some rope that was just what I needed for what I had in mind. Wrapping the rope securely around the steal supports of the chair, I fasten the other end around arm. This was indeed very risky, but if it worked, then we would have a better chance of getting Storm Shadow out of this alive. Once Lady Jaye had lowered the copter enough to the building, I lean next to the door as I prepared to jump down. Pulling the mask up enough to reveal my mouth, I kiss Scarlett quickly on the lips before I jump. Breaking the kiss, I smile at her once before pulling the mask back down to cover my face.

With that, I used a spare piece of the bullet proof glass as my shield as I swung down to the rooftop. The bullets ping off the glass the entire time that I'm in swinging downwards. Once the rope swings me over to a safer part of the rooftop, I use my blade to slice me free from the copter. Rolling with the force, I made it to a side entrance that led into the building.

Breaking down the door, I ran into the hallway as I began my search for Storm Shadow and Jinx. A sudden burning sensation in my arm made me realise that somewhere along the road, I had just reopened my bullet wound from before. This was not good at all. But I had to help get the two of them out of here.

Scarlett

Watching Snake Eyes glide down the rope and cutting himself free I looked over at Lady Jaye, tossed my head in Snake Eyes direction "That answer your question Lady Jaye?".
Waiting for Lady Jaye to put the helo down on the next appartment block I began to think. I looked at her, "see at the appartment" I said. I jumped out and forced my way into the building. Running down the stairs as fast as I can I reach the bottom.
Stopping, getting a grip of myself, catching my breath, I continue.
I moved quickly, but with more care. I needed to be careful, the last thing the others needed was me to screw up because I wasnt focussed.
Listening as I slipped into the appartment block side door. There a few feet infront of me was a viper. He was watching the main entrance. Moron I said to myself. I pulled out one of my stars and threw it. It got him in the back of the neck. Making sure he wasnt going to be any trouble later, I dragged him under the stairwell and tied him up. I smiled and told him to have a good day! I went to walk off...then I remembered to take his weapon away from him...thanks..I said.
I continued slowly up the stairs.

Lady Jaye

Well, I wasnt going to leave my fellow Joes in this mess all by themselves. That wasnt my style. After securing an alarm to the helecopter that would freeze up the control panel should any unauthorized person use it, I grabbed my gun and was headed towards Scarlett's direction.

Running along, I thought how stupid Cobra was to not cover the entrance better and how I could really use a better weapon when a noise sounded behind me. I whirled around in time to see a viper raise up from an alley way and aim at me. I fell backwards as bullets zinged above my head-close call. I was firing back but the bullets hit the side of the building. Still the viper ducked into the alley again and gave me time to make it to a safe point-a dumpster.

I heard the bullets hit the dumpster and was looking around for the next cover to run to when another viper came out from the apartment building to see what was happening. My bullet took him down and I crouched down and ran for the door he had come out of. Scooping up his weapon as I passed, I ran into what was a stairwell. Good news and bad news. Good news was it provided cover...bad news was I would hate to get caught in this place with vipers.

I could hear the bullets flying on the roof and I knew Jinx's apartment was somewhere up a few flights. "Well, lets do it," I said, as I began to race up the stairs and toward the fighting.

Baroness

(dunno where mackdaddy went, so scuse me if this post is a tad........raw....)


I smiled sweetly as I heard the gunfire behind my back. Screams and shrieks, and I just kept walking towards him. I leaned forward on the table.

"Hello Mr. President. I'm sorry to have to make your acquantince this way. YOu should have reinstated the Joe's. Oh how I loved to make trouble...." I said as I breathed in the air filled with Smoke from the glorious winning gunshots.

" Good night Mr. PResident." I slyly pulled out another gun, I heard the Joe pull out his. That is when I recognized him, I laughed. "So you don't want to see me again eh? Too bad. Get used to me." I ducked and covered. Grabbing a hold upon the President, on my way past the Joe to reach the president "I'm not all that bad, am I?" I said, rushing past his face.

I yanked the president down and stood him up quickly, as a human shield. His lackies drew thier guns. And just like that my other two men who were left had them down. I grinned. "Baroness...remember the name." I pulled the trigger. Down went the president. Pulling out my knife, I knew I couldn't stop the Joe. I flung the knife and tacked his sleeve to the table, his gun hand unable to move. I smiled. "Gotta go. Extrenuating circumstances prevent me from chatting. Ta ta!" My men covered me, and I sauntered out of the room.

Duke

(Did you miss me?)

"NO!!" I shout as the President falls to the floor.

Pulling the knife out of the table, I grab my cell phone and call 911, but it is to late he is dead. I just stand there, anger burning through me as I start thinking what I could have done to prevent this from happening. I swear a personal vendetta against Baroness, even though the President is gone, I will not leave his side until the authorities get here.

The Vice President arrives almost before the Police, Secret Service, and FBI do. "Who did this?" he asks, as Cover Girl walks up beside me. "Cobra." is all that I can say, thinking how brave they have gotten in the five weeks since we were disbanded.

"Duke," he begins, "I cannot allow this sort of terrorist action to go on any longer. Since I am now in charge my first act is reestablishing the Joes, someone has to deal with them. " he tells me, extending his hand. "Thank you Sir." I say enthusiastically, shaking his hand. "But I wish it had been under better circumstances." I tell him.

"Me to, but I will take care of everything alert the team members you can and have them at the base tomorrow." He tells me. "Yes Sir." I reply snapping a salute to him. He returns the salute then leaves.

I grab Cover Girl and give her a tight hug, before I get on the phone and start making calls. I leave everyone messages on their cell phone voice mails. "We are reinstated, be at the base tomorrow at 0800." After calling the team I turn back to her, "Got any plans?" I ask her.
