Gay men more body con than straight?

It's ok...I don't like ignorant people either...

I assume that if you try hard enough, you too will move up into being a real boy...just like pinnochio.

But you NIGGERS are the most ignorant retards on the planet!! Didn't you know that? Oh wait, you're black so you're ignorant also......

I was browsing here the other day with my gay friend, and he reckons that guys with really hot bodies are nearly always gay because straight guys just can't be arsed. Now as someone who has slept with a few *cough* men from both sides as it were, I think his theory is right. In the interest of scientific enquiry though, how many here agree?

For example I am sure this guy is gay for certain and so is my friend. Opinions?

Just because some gay men have nice bodies, doesn't mean most men who have nice bodies are gay.

What you're saying is like, "Some lesbians have short hair, so most women with short hair are lesbians." Pretty silly, no?

From what I can tell, a lot of gay men are into their bodies. That's probably more a function of men being more visual creatures and them wanting to attract mates based on that visual aspect, than anything else. A lot of straight women are into their bodies because they want to be attractive to men, too. Then again, most of us try to spruce ourselves up to attract mates, just on the principle that we want to appear healthy (we're biologically attracted to physical specimens that appear healthy, capable of bearing offspring, etc.) in many ways. I do my hair, makeup, wear flattering clothing and don't eat everything in the fridge for that purpose (in part...the other part is being attractive to myself and feeling good).

I just don't think you can determine someone's sexuality based on a certain physical feature, like being in shape or muscular (apart from, like a tattoo, clothing or jewelry meant to announce their sexual orientation or fit in with others of the same group). I doubt you could tell I was bi or kinky from looking at me. People develop their bodies for all sorts of reasons that have nothing to do with their orientations.

If you're so certain the guy in the pic is gay, why not ask him? Or any other guys who have what you consider to be nice (or "gay") bodies, for that matter? I doubt you'd get a positive reaction, but it'd blow your theory right out of the water!

I used to think taking great care of your body was a gay thing, but then some gay guy have never been obsessed about it. Personally, I think it is more of a generational thing. Now you hear about "body washes", cremes, gels, etc... (and I'm not referring to lube). I remember seeing a young guy spend more time in the mirror of a locker room than in the gym itself. He wasn't cruising anybody, just obsessed with every hair on his head, his belt, his collar, etc. Narcissism and gay are not one in the same thing. Sure lots of gay guys like to look good or at least workout. So do many straight guys -- especially if they are single. I think as straight guys marry and traditionally have kids, they don't have time for that. If you child needs to go to the doctor, little league, after school play, friends birthday party, piano lessons, are you going to say you cannot do it right now because you have your own appointment at the tanning salon, a manicure, and a an hour or two workout regiment that takes precedence? Though I don't have kids, my partner and I have lots of animals to take care of. I cannot just go and work on my appearance. I have neither the time nor the disposable cash now that I have lots of responsibilities. I do wish I TOOK the time to do things to better take care of my health (exercise/diet), but as for superficial outward appearances that is just too much of an unnecessary luxury.

She's a bit of a retard, isn't she? She's not even worth bothering about hunny buns, I mean, she's ginger afterall..... Best ignore it to be honest, she's developing a real reputation around these parts for being the "village idiot."

I'm bi, and I work out because being fat runs in my family. The only way for me to counteract it is for me to swim, lift weights, and be careful about what I eat. Despite the effort, I don't look anything like the guy in that picture. Instead, I look like a lumberjack, with my muscle sheathed beneath a bit of fat. I'm never going to have a six-pack like that, but I'm strong and I look good in a suit. Even if I was gay, and not bi with a preference for women, that would still be good enough for me.

Apologies to Erika, none 2 and programmer cat. It's a wind up. I know the guy's gay. ;)

I vote for the neo nazi Bollocks Head, to get the fuck out of the GLBT chatter, and also he gets banned.

Until the moderators decide to eliminate them, the only solution is to TOTALLY ignore them. "Trolls" as you recall are creatures of small intelligence and having nothing useful to add to a conversation they can only obtain the attention they crave and need by spewing out the vile contents of their inner being. Under real world circumstances, normal people usually try to show compassion on unfortunate people like them who have mental deficiencies. However in a Forum such as this, such compassion is waisted since they are able to hide in their dark small world and act out their mental illnesses anonymously. IMO, it's pity they deserve not anger - and yet, like a disruptive child in a normal classroom, they must be removed for their own good as well as for the good of the normal children...

It doesn't matter if he's gay or not. The whole point of my post was that you can NOT tell what someone's sexual orientation is by looking at their body, and the assertion that 'muscular guy=gay guy' is absolutely absurd.

That guy happens to enjoy developing his body. He also happens to be gay (according to you). While he might develop his body to attract men, he could just as easily do the same to attract women, or both men and women, or no one but himself; similarly, a woman may be body-conscious for herself, or men, or other women. You don't see a woman who's in very good shape and automatically assume she's gay or straight or bi or transgendered or kinky or a prude, do you?

In accordance with that, I didn't make a guess on what the guy in the pic's orientation was. There's absolutely nothing in that pic that indicates his preferences for anything but the gym. His body type certainly can't tell us whether he prefers cock to pussy.

No uh, I think ya don't get it. The first dickhead posted a crude post about the second poster being gay and the second poster, also being an ASShole, decided to show his closeted side. ;)

I'm kind of glad you cannot always tell someones sexual preferences just by looking. It would be kind of a boring world if you could figure people out without even bothering to get to know them. I still think that some of this plays into a generational shift. Younger guys of either preference are told that is isn't sissy to use facial creams. Likewise, I think some of it has to do with whether you are on the prowl or not. People who are in relationships and or have families or other such responsibilities simply cannot spend that much time on personal care. Where as if you are single and don't have a steady partner, you are more likely to try to take better care of yourself, so that you can get laid. People don't have sex with someone just because they feel sorry that they aren't partnered up. There has to be some physical attraction.
