GeeBee Tech Support thread - pose questions, get answers

Looking to buy a desktop. Unwilling to buy Intel given their spate of security issues that will be with them until they retire the current-gen architecture.

So, AMD? Threadripper? Paired with Radeon something or other or Nvidia? Whichever works best for freecell and snood.

No, I'm not going to build one. I value my time more.

Discuss.

I built an entire home office tower/computer once. Once.

I was about to call it quits when I plugged it in and the on switch (a toggle) didn't work. Then I noticed the power surge extension was off. Flipped it on and presto! It came to life!

After a hard drive program installment, I downloaded Radeon and had security issues with Realtek. Never again.

Here's one for you. I can't delete addresses from my company's iPhone map software.

Swipe left, hit Remove, the entry comes back. Isn't it lovely that a one-time address can't be removed?

Suggestions?

I don't know much about iPhones, but maybe it has to do with your iCloud? Maybe delete it there and see what happens when the phone?

Ha!

I bought one from Dell. AMD CPU, Radeon something or other GPU. FreeSync, T&A looks awesome on the curvy 4K screens.

Now that it's out of the box it'll gather dust.

My poor IE7 is being kicked to the curb soon. IE10 is not my friend. What are the alternatives?

Now that support for Win 7 has expired is it considered an abandoned technology?

The TOR Browser with the TAILS operating system is the smartest thing to use to stay anonymous. Unfortunately google caught on to it and won't let me watch Youtube.com videos.
