5600XT with the new BIOS flashed.......oh yeah.

Like buttah.

I rebuilt this rig a few months back. 5600XT Nitro+, 3770X and 32 gigs of Crucial Ballistix DDR4. X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI. 1TB NVMI ssd. It's a beast.

Stock vbios or the AMD-released upgrade? I'm curious if that card ran hotter given that the new bios throttles performance up.

Mine is running the new bios and temps are in line with prior bios-temps. I'm told some cards can handle the extra juice, while others can't due to limitations of the cooler.

That machine does sound like a beast..........32GB of memory....jeebus.

Stock. But the Nitro+ has a mild OC built in. Temps are absolutely fine running every game I have on ultra.

Ah, OC-able. Got it.

Ultra? Damn. I don't even want to imagine what freecell looks like on ultra.

LOL. Temp wise, I actually removed my water cooling set up cos it just wasn't needed. Ebayed the bits and it paid for the RAM.

You need to let go of Windown ME already. It's coloring your perspective.

Does it suck up RAM like chrome does?

ME was too advanced for the time

and yes, it is a resource hog just like chrome

"Chromium is a free and open-source software project from Google. The source code can be compiled into a web browser.. Google uses the code to make its Chrome browser, which has more features than Chromium. Many other browsers are also based on Chromium code, most notably Microsoft Edge and Opera"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium_(web_browser)

AKA ... Spyware.

dude, all browsers are saving and sharing everything you do, no matter which one you use or even what plugins you install

chrome is notorious for disabling plugins that they deem unworthy

I need someone to build this one handed keyboard I've drawn up. I'm expecting to get a unit free for my brilliant plan, and maybe a cut of the sales before the copycatters jump in.

i thought my isp was throttling me until i realized that no, it was just chrome being an asshole because it hated a video downloader i was using. no other browser i use gives two shits about that downloader, but google fucking despises it.

The chrome gets along better with the work net than the others. I am (more or less) forced into it.

What do you use at home?

I went back to Firefox. I'll stay with it until it pisses me off. I've decided browsers are like insurance companies in that respect.

Great few weeks on my tech home front!

Marks a month into running my latest build with not a single issue what so ever.

AMD 3950X
MSI X570 Unify
NVidia RTX 2080 Ti
Sabrent Rocket Nvme 4.0 2TB
Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB

Still so old school I tossed in an $18 LG Multiwriter just for the hell of it

Best news is about my next build running off my very own chip design, meaning it will do exactly and only what I want, no waste at all.

My years of hobbyist collaboration in FOSSI is finally paying off with Googles SkyWater PDK now making it all possible.

Produce your own physical chips. For free. In the Open.

You're so full of shit, Little Lance. You've shown over and over again you're tech illiterate. I'm surprised you know where the fucking off switch is.

Each onePlus phone has a lifespan of 2 years. Best stick to apple or google nexus and get a longer life on the phone.
