I'm running a Zen 1 processor that I purchased in 2018, so I'm SOL. I'm due for an upgrade sooner rather than later, so I guess I'll just bide my time. And, like you, this is my desktop, and I'm not fucking with it until I must fuck with it.

My lappy, however, will get the upgrade this w-e.

Check out the WINDOWS11 thread on reddit. It's funny, the biggest complaint is that you can't resize the toolbar. :rolleyes:
 
I switched on TPM in the bios just to check I could run 11. All fine. LTR reckons there's still major driver problems with it. I'll wait.

I haven't found a single issue with apps or hardware. My only complaints are Windows Explorer seems to lag occasionally and the right-click context menu changed.

Did that, but the MSFT PC health check app said that my Ryzen 7 1700X isn't a supported CPU. Only Zen 2 and up for Windows 11.

Fuckers.

win 11 is not ready for enterprise use yet

But MSFT has published a 'bypass' for computers like mine who meet the secure boot and TPM requirements, but not the CPU requirement?

I installed 11 on the desktop. A bit of a faff tweaking bios settings so the install tool would work but after that all is good. Very Mac OS in appearance at least.
 
Can someone tell me this:

My tvs at home are all streaming. Ruko thing is built in. So I watch Tubi, Netflx, Curiosity Stream and some others. The Youtube is on there as well. Why can't I have a web browser?

I asked the google and it yammered on about the protocol or some such tech nonsense.

I just got a Logitech webcam circa 2006 to work on Windows 10.

Sure, the 640x480 @ 30 frame/s makes for a super grainy stream.............but it works!
