I really enjoy westerns too, and I just started watching 1923. It's still new so 1 episode a week and between them I've been watching 1883 the prequel. They are both apparently prequels to Yellowstone which I haven't seen and am less interested in. I like cowboys in the old west more than modern ones.
Also just marathoned Evil on Paramount+, which wound up involving a lot more than I thought it would on the surface. It was surprising.
Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities was good, but some episodes were great, mostly the one with F Murray Abraham.

Are all of those on Paramount+, this is bad but I can’t remember if I still have that sub, but a well done western is definitely worth my time.

F Murray Abraham is incredible and I celebrate him completely to the point of a non-sexual crush.

I agree, he turns out a performance with nuance and weight when it could have been a flat and dull role. If you get the chance to watch that episode in particular, I would recommend it very highly.
Andor and The Expanse we're both great, I've gotten into the books now as well, already onto the next to last book in the series, and really enjoying it.
Someday I'll pick up The Expanse in books, probably audio though the way my time is these days. I want to know the deeper story than the show gave. Even if I know some of the changes will be a little jarring character wise. Actors are human and sometimes that means you have to change stories.

You won’t regret picking up the books at all, believe me. They read really well and even though they are 500 pages each, it goes surprisingly fast, read one on vacation last week, it brought much joy.

oh satisfactory is good. Very laid back.

RimWorld is one that always ends up being a time suck for me.
I have friends who play it. Never played it myself. Why would you rate it over Satisfactory?

Im curious since you are someone who watched thrones before reading. Did you notice while watching when the story veered in a different direction watching or was that something us annoying book folk just felt. I really hope if George ever does finish the story, the White Walkers and the eventual King are far more satisfying in how they get settled.
Sorry to horn in on this thread at this late juncture, but I agree with you on this. George had planned twelve books I think I heard him say in an interview once. He’s in his 70’s so he better start cranking the next six out!

I fear since he signed off on the two creators for HBO to take his vision and make it their own, sadly we’ll be stuck with that horrible ending.

Well, they are rare the people of Alderaan, so I get the appeal there. Me, I am open to those that like me back. Lol

Saw it, loved it, watched it again.
So I know I am probably wrong given how much of the EU they've purged but man when the one helmet was picked up and all corroded and destroyed, I instantly thought about the virus.
I think it’s going to be a crazy season

It also could be a nod toward mandalore and the great purge

For me they scratch such different itches, I don't know if you could rate them against each other.
