Geeks, Nerds, Enthusiasts...share your thoughts with me!

I'm a retro gamer at heart, and Mega Man is one of my favorite franchises. My favorite flick is Robocop, though I'll admit I mostly watch horror films these days. Currently I'm watching Dragon Quest the Adventures of Dai on Hulu because I'm a dragon quest fan and anime fan, but after that who knows.

Oh yeah, LOVE me some RoboCop. Always happy to rewatch it. And quote the fuck out of it. :p

Last year was a great year for horror movies. Terrifier 2 was wild. I'm curious about the new Exorcist movies coming up.

Same here, in fact one of the Mega Man Maker stages I made was a quote from Robocop (Can you Fly, Bobby).

Terrifier 2 was wild, and I enjoyed the hell out of it (I'm a gorehound so it checked a lot of my boxes). I haven't watched the trailer for the new exorcist yet, but I hope it comes good. Btw love the profile pic

Haha thanks! Very few have caught the movie poster. So good eye ;)

But yeah Terrifier 2 was crazy and awesome. They went apeshit with the practical effects gore. Plus Art the Clown is just such a great horror character. The laundromat scene always cracks me up. As does the Clown Cafe scene. Absolutely not for everyone but I loved it.
Modern horror is not for me!! I get confused sometimes though because apparently the TV show Supernatural is classed as horror? I do enjoy Hammer Horror though.

I prefer psychological thrillers if I really wanna be spooked 👀

I don't really get time nowadays, but I'm afraid it was always old-school Championship Manager for me!

Football!
A giant spreadsheet!
Unbelievably slow processing speeds on a 2002 PC which allowed you to iron a work shirt between matches!
Trying to stop a digital version of Nicolas Anelka sulking!
Learning to cope with the emotional guilt of CTRL-ALT-DELeting your way out of a shock loss to Halifax Town!

And most of the stock phrases for managing players apply perfectly to the workplace. Reassuringly, so do the responses.
From what I understand, Football Manager is basically the same now! Except Ryan Reynolds pops up in the newer ones 👀

I used to play Football Manager on the Spectrum 🙈

Hammer horror is some phenomenal classics. You can never go wrong there. A good psychological thriller is always entertaining, gets under your skin in just the right way

I watched the new Guardians film. I think I...hated it?

I hate animal cruelty and either I'm hormonal or...🤔

The whole show was just a thrown together waste of talent. Marvel has lost its way. Shitty storyline, predictable and dull
I disagree... (sort of)

I think Guardians is one of the last threads of Marvel that is actually watchable, and has warmth and isn't just the same story with different protagonists.

I got bored with Marvel around about the 3rd Avengers film...

Ok well that's the next question!

Which game do you keep going back to? No matter how much you want to, you can't quit it?

Mine is Civilization. Just one...more....turn.....
I play Civ 6 on a Switch, the board looks really good on a big screen, cost me many a night’s sleep.

On PC its Just Cause 2 or Wow.

But i also have play an old Dos game at least 2 or 3 times a month.
Dungeon Master by FTL.

Yes and no. I am a bit of a purest and like the older versions of D&D. Not sure how the 3rd edition of baldurs gate is going to parallel the D&D 5e. If it does to much I wont be a fan most likely. Plus the forgotten realms setting has became tainted to me over the years..
Son is playing the early access. It's very much 5e.

Haven't seen it yet. My dad said it was his favourite of the 3. It made my sister sob for possibly the same reasons you hate it.
I've fallen a bit behind with Marvel tbh and need to catch up.

Yeah, I'm not sure I hate it...it's just the first extremely strong negative emotional reaction I've had since starting therapy 🤷🏼‍♀️🫣

Yeah I'm the same way with animal cruelty. It's hard to watch. I'll watch Jason and Freddy slash away any time, but don't mess with the dog.

Guardians I loved though. It was a fitting end to the trilogy.
