The next book in a series I'm enjoying is out! The series is Monk & Robot by Becky Chambers.

Do you read/listen to audio books? What are your favourites?

I can never focus on audio books. I either get distracted or fall asleep. Lol

Oh I liked Maleficent because it was a different spin on a classic story. I don't really know why they're bothering with the others if they're not gonna try anything new

I think they should just do origin stories of the villains, all live action. We dont need to revisit disney princesses.

I've loved many books. The Wheel of Time was excellent. A big series. Made the commute much more enjoyable.

The character generation is crazy in-depth. So far I would recommend it.

I wish I understood the hype around BG3. I loved 1 & 2, but 3... something about it just ain't landing for me. But, I hope it does well, it does seem a well-made game from a decent studio.

Totally with you on Marian Keyes reading, she has the characters so well voiced doesn't she, she really gets them and his writing is just so engaging and all characters, even the baddies are sympathetically treated.

It's really obvious that he just likes people

I feel like that about some games.

The recent HP game just seemed pointless to me. How can you enjoy something where every 2 seconds you've got to cast a spell?

There's so many farming simulator games (like Stardew Valley type games) that it takes something special to grab my attention these days.

Just jumping in to say I found Hogwarts Legacy surprisingly enjoyable. Yes, there's a lot of spellcasting, but it actually had better combat mechanics then some other recent games I played and the open-world aspect made the discovery fun. It's not perfect and lord knows the Rowlings baggage didn't help.

No it is a role playing game. Dungeons and dragons based. Huge campaign. Over 1.9 million lines of dialogue

I know that, I meant character creation!

Have they made it like The Sims, where you can manipulate every section independently? Like, right forearm is separate from right upper arm?

I think the hype is because of Larian Studios. They are non for great games. Plus they took 6 years to develop this game. They didn’t rush it by any means.

What's your favourite game

The Elder Scrolls.
I got started with "Morrowind" on PC, then "Oblivion" and possibly the GOAT "Skyrim".
The Red Dead Redemption Series is great.
I could go all the way back to Atari with "Dig Dug" and "Techmo Bowl".
As a kid, I was all about the Nijia Turtles on SNES.
I never got into Sega.

Can't go wrong with Casablanca, Shawshank Redemption, Scarface.

I am absolutely not a fan of Willy Wonka and The Wizard of Oz, though I do appreciate what they mean to the fabric and culture of America.

TV show

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is the greatest show of all-time. The X-Files is a very close #2 and the GOAT Sci-Fi show ever made.
Have to put Farscape, Firefly and Fringe up there as well.
I love the Gilmore Girls and don't really give a shit, how much the "guys" give me crap about it either.

What releases are you looking forward to?

I WAS really looking forward to TES 6, but, Bethesda might make it an X-Box only console game.
Of course that just makes me wanna kick everyone's ass. LOL.
