That makes her trashing of Fetterman and "don't care" attitude even more deplorable (seemed an apt descriptor!). She should be well aware of the fact that despite his impairment he was well qualified to stand in the first place and for at least the immediate future is doing a reasonable job. Chloes's apparent objective of excluding the medically impaired could similarly be applied to Tammy Duckworth or any of the 30 something Senators and Congressmen with disabilities (from both parties)

Chloe needs to be reminded of the fact that it was her own leader, Senator Mitch McConnell who deplored (there I go again!) the abysmal standard of GOP candidates for the mid terms, Santos, Taylor Green, Boebert and the Luna lady being obvious examples. And yesterday McConnell neatly slipped the knife into loud mouth, Senator Scott's ribs.

There is only one risk free attack policy with respect to Joe Biden and that is the angle that he is a 'nice old guy but will be too old in 2024.' That policy has legs because many middle of the road D sympathisers, including myself, support that view. Personal attacks will not leave a scratch on Joe Biden, a 50 year cultivation of the Mr Nice Guy image is just too strong with the electorate.

America needs to move on at least a generation from the 1940's men, Clinton, Bush, Trump and Biden. And who knows? given a candidate from her own generation Chloe might be able to eventually discard her training wheels and develop some political nous less akin to that of a petulant toddler.

The most recent documentation of one of Santos’ blatant untruths is a clip of him circulating on social media in which he claims that in 2001, he made a daring career move to found the Devolder Organization:

“Devolder Organization was founded in 2001, when I stepped away from my previous employment, and I decided to go on my own to do exactly what I did for other companies for years which is capital introduction relationship management.”

this would have made him just 13 years old. Suggestions it was a simple misspeak on his part might be entertainable if he didn't have such an extensive—and ongoing—history of lying over the most stupid things!

That isn't a fair comparison. Fetterman had sterling credentials to be running for the office (he was the state's lieutenant governor), there was no health problem identified when he began to run, and his stroke came when he couldn't be replaced as a candidate. Perhaps when/if he assesses he can't really function in the job, he'll resign, which is the only way he can be replaced. It hasn't come to that point yet, even in a conclusion Fetterman should be making (soon, yes, probably and there are rumblings this is being considered. Right now? no). That has nothing to do with his integrity or the integrity of those who ran him.

Santos not only has no real credentials for the job but he lied to the voters about having them, and the district Republican committee completely failed at vetting him for it. That has a lot to do with integrity of Santos and the Republican district committee.

There is no honest comparison to do between those two, Chloe.

Yes, I'll concede on that one, Keith. You're right. I don't admire Fetterman's politics and platform (of course), but yes, that stroke was bad timing and unfortunate. And Oz was a lousy candidate, which goes along with those concerns Mitch raised, which were valid. As for Santos, yeah, I agree, but he's in now and he'll vote GOP so from a GOP POV, might as well keep him for now and line up a better candidate. And if they don't kick out the assholes that selected him, they deserve to lose the next go round. One the other hand there's a few Democrat candidates I'd say the same thing about. If we cleaned all the shit out, half the house and half the senate on both sides would be looking for new jobs.
