Guys, do you ever have AH females (or males) hitting on you?

The more I read this thread, the more it makes me happy that I mostly stay inside my house.
Not only is humanity becoming frakking dumber by the minute, males seem to just stay stuck in the "teenage phase".
As my family continues to tell me....."You can't keep punching and stretching people."

Sorry to depress you, hun.

I tried Fringe, but couldn’t get into it.

Interesting to see Anna Torv on The Last Of Us.

I haven't seen The Last of Us.

I'm too busy having fun, watching peoples' brains short circuit when I tell them that. LOL.

What about Firefly or Farscape???

I watched Firefly - not when it was out, I was a baby I think (even if I was born). I checked it out as - like any science nerd - I used to read xkcd.com and Randall used to mention it.

Found it sort of as Whedon self-destructed. Enjoyed the show and then moved back in time to Buffy, which I liked.

I have a Firefiy reference in Coleoidphilia 😊.

I'm kind of TV’d out at the minute.

It’s all spies and cops and more spies and more cops, yada yada yada.

The last TV show that got me last year was Severance, which was excellent.

Ive never had any AH females hit on me. But id welcome any one to do it. I did have one male planning on meeting me when he was going to visit here where i live. But he backed out on the last minute😢. Everyone likes to get flirted on dont they?🤔

My teenage daughters call me "the manliest sci-fi nerd on earth"
I never watched Buffy growing up. I started watching it when it was on Amazon Prime because of Allyson. It was OK. I'll watch anything Joss Whedon is involved in, but don't get me started on these pansy ass "actors". They all need to take Denzel Washington's words to heart.
If you have any suggestions for sci-fi shows, I'm all ears Emily.

Emily is one of those gender-neutral names, right 🤣🤣🤣🤣?

Em
It’s a long story and I won’t bore you by going into it here as I fear it will lead to Airplane-esque reactions from those reading it and reveal to everyone my drinking problem.

What advice do those 'pansy ass actors' need?

Perhaps you aren't aware of Joss Whedon's history of abusive behavior?

Boo hoo.....the director yelled at me.
Boo hoo.....the director made me reshoot something.
I've personally spoken to actors and actresses who worked on set with Joss, and while he was "tough", none of them considered it "abusive".

Denzel Washington has said on many occasions "I was garbage man, that's hard. Doing movies is easy. This is cake." "People in this industry need to appreciate how easy our jobs really are. This is nothing compared to what the people who pay to see our movies go through.", etc, etc, etc. There are tons of these out there.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

I've honestly had a hard time getting a straight answer on what he did wrong. Seems it was nothing sexual as far as I've been able to find. Was it really just yelling? I mean being abusive isn't cool, but is whedon really the only director to yell at people? Or is he really significantly worse than like Kubrick or something? Or is Kubrick in the same boat these days?

He does a lot of yelling.
He's quite the perfectionist.
He wants things to go exactly how he envisions them.
He used "offensive language", which is meaningless.
Then his ex-wife chimed in to get extra money, claiming he had "infidelities".

I can go by what I was told straight from people who worked with him.
They all told me that he can be a massive pain in the ass sometimes.

That's odd. The accusers haven't exactly minced words. What's more telling is the lameness of some of Whedon's responses. Like, what the actual fuck is this:

“English is not her first language,” he said of [Gal Gadot], “and I tend to be annoyingly flowery in my speech.”

One of the very clumsiest non-denial denials I've ever seen.

And Denzel, while I love him, can entirely miss me with that "being a garbage man is hard, so actors shouldn't be allowed to have professional boundaries" take. That's silliness.

I have a drinking problem. Mostly that I fall over before I can drink as much as I’d like.

Em
Reminds me of something Roger Miller said on the Tonight Show way back when: "I don't drink as much as I used to. Now I spill most of it."

I think the main issues stem from his bullying treatment of Charisma Carpenter after she got pregnant.

Other than that I don’t know. It sounds like there’s plenty of successful directors and producers like him, some are good at their jobs and some are terrible. Hollywood certainly has an asshole problem, that’s for damn sure.

Hm. That article is behind a paywall. But googling whedon gal Gadot, all in can find is what he says he said ( to remove a scene she would have to tie him to a train track and do it over his dead body), and his claim she misunderstood due to language, and all any of the three articles I just read would say about her side of it was her saying that she understood perfectly. Ok but what does she claim he said?

That said, I don't particularly care about whedon either way.
