Emily came back once the day was done, she walked into there room and sighed a bit. Stepping out of her shoes, her feet were killing her. It had been a very long day and didn't know how her mens day was. Smiling at them "Mummy is home" She called out to her son and looked over at Severus. "Hey Severus" She kissed him lovingly on the lips. "How was your day?" She didn't know where Jacob was, figuring he was walking around there little area some place, perhaps hiding on her? Since he loved hide and seek.

Severus smiled as Emily came in, and returned her kiss, a but tired despite all of his naps. "Ah, the usual; eating and sleeping." he answered her. He saw her confused look, and knew she was wondering where Jacob was. He smiled, knowing he was idling to surprise her. He had learned to talk early on, but he didn't talk much. It didnt worry Severus. He stood up from his chair, and moved Emily to the couch. "Have a seat, dear..." he said, and then Jacob burst out of behind the couch. "Hi mummy!" he cried, running over to her, grabbing her legs.

She smiled and sat down, and before she knew it Jacob came up surprising her. He didn't startle her, but she acted startled and surprised for there son. She chuckled "Jacob you scared mummy" She said with a kind smile but chuckled, then when he came to hug her leg. She picked him up and sat him on her lap. "Hi baby" She kissed his forehead. "Were you good for daddy?" She said looking into there son's black eyes stroking his jaw.

He nodded, now beginning to stop talking again. He just hugged Emily now. He had alwAs loved Emily just a bit more than Severus, but he was alright with it. Usually, a child was closer to their mother than father, but not by much. Severus faced Emily, and begun asking her questions. "How was your day today?" He asked her, noticing earlier that her feet had hurt.

She sensed a small rift and it bothered her, a parent nor a child should have favorites of anything. But she heard Severus's question and smiled. "It was alright, rather long today. Draco was picking on Harry again today so I gave Draco a nice little time out, so if Lucius comes around for me don't be surprised. Since Draco always runs to daddy when he doesn't get his way" She chuckled and looked at Jacob. "Now Jacob you don't ever make fun of anyone okay? no matter how different they are. I don't want you as a bully, but you have mummy's heart and daddy's heart in you. Daddy really is a very good man" She smiled. "How was your day?"

Severus smiled at her joke, agreeing mentally, upon hearing the question, he sighed, thinking. "Ah, not much. Just cooking, eating, and napping really. Nothing unusual." he answered. Jacob, after nodding to Emily's command, had wandered away to his toys, just playing around.

Sitting down she sighed a bit, sitting back and relaxing. A grin on her face could be seen as she took Severus's hand and squeezed it with much love. It was amazing how two people could love as much as they did. "I love you Severus" She said sweetly.

Severus smiled lovingly, and squeezed her hand in return. "I love you too," he said, with the most amount of love he could place in it. He, owever, couldn't hold back a yawn, and saw Jacob was yawning as well. He turned back to Emily. "Em, I think we should get some sleep. Tomorrow will be a... unusual day." he told her, not wanting to give too much away.

 

[Mayu]

She smiled seeing both her men yawn, standing up she took there son and picked him up. And looked at Severus. "I know you are going to do something Severus tomorrow, and I guess it will be a test for the two of us." She changed him into night time clothing and put him to bed. "A test of a wife's loyalty to her husband..." She said looking back into his black eyes.

Severus itched to tell Emily what he was to do tomorrow, but he didn't scratch the itch. He only nodded. He turned his head from her eyes, feeling that she would see his secret through them. He quickly changed into his night garments, and plopped into bed. He never made eye contact with Emily while doing so. He tried to end all conversation as well, but he wasn't too sure if he had succeeded in doing so. Speaking would make him want to reveal the secret even more, and he knew he couldn't do that, no matter how unbearable it was.

She watched him and knew something was rather wrong, but he stayed silent and decided that is what he wanted. Watching him plop onto the bed she just smiled and got in after him, wrapping her arm around him and cuddled up to him. Emily knew they were complete opposites but that was why she loved him so much. Sighing softly she just fell asleep without much warning allowing the night pass her by.

Severus felt Emily wrap her arm around in him, and he felt comforted. He cuddled p to Emily as well, their bodies touching at every point. He quickly fell asleep, feeling happy despite his horrible task tomorrow. For a moment, he almost forget about all his worries. Almost, he wished he did, it he didn't. He only slipped into darkness, not a dream in sight, his wife with him, his son in the same room.

No dreams took hold of Emily that night as well, she was taken back by the sleep she got. And she ended up waking up, feeling warmth the new day brought. Slowly opening up her eyes she smiled a bit, she got dressed and got Jacob all set, washed dressed and began to feed him. Watching her husband he seemed at peace.

Severus awoke pretty late in the morning, but he still had time until breakfast. He awoke to the light hitting his eyelids, and he saw Mily and Jacob were already up. Emily was feeding Jacob his food, and Jacob was eating it. Severus smiled, slipping out of bed. He walked to the bathroom, brushed his teeth, washed his face, and got dressed. He walked out, giving Emily a warm smile

She smiled and waved at Severus, the whole day would be just her and little Jacob which she didn't mind. Right now everything was as it should have been, he was even reading to there son. Teaching him how to talk more, and she had a feeling that he would end up getting the British accent off Severus. Or perhaps a mix of both since she was American, not that it mattered. Though in the back of her mind something was wrong.

Severus saw her wave, and tha widened his grin even more he wAlked to Eily, and kissed her cheek before heading off to the door. "Have an excellent day today, my dear." he said cheerfully, but he wasn't too much inside. Today was the day. Tonight, there was no turning back. Either he did it, or he let down Albus, and the world. H walked out the door, and walked off to breakfast, dreading what was to come.

She kissed her husband and watched him leave, she enjoyed being a mother. She was a mother first and wife second and a witch third. She enjoyed her role as it was, sure having a baby was very hard but she never regretted being with Severus and getting pregnant with Jacob the first time they made love. She ended up falling asleep with her son asleep on her chest.

Severus' day flew by quickly. Today he gave out the Final Exams, and just sat behind his desk, doing nothing. To him, the day went by awfully quickly, and after what appeared to be no time at all it was after dinner. He would accomplish his task at 9:00 PM. It was currently 6:00 PM. He had only three hours to go, and they were moving quickly. He returned to his room and threw his bag onto the floor, sitting down on a chair and sighing, dreading what was to come. It would be the ultimate test for everyone.

When he came in she watched him and decided to do one thing so she walked up to him and knelt down. Looking into his eyes "I will be watching over you Severus, what ever bad you are doing you are not alone in it" She squeezed his hand lovingly. She would follow her husband tonight, to see what he was up to. Rather she liked what she would see she didn't know, but she stroked his cheek. For a man in his thirties he looked so much older, the age came from pain. "I love you"

Severus felt Emily's hand on his, her loving squeeze, and her hand stroking his cheek. He smiled, feeling better knowing that she could trust him and truly loved him. He gave her cheek a kiss, not wanting to kiss her with Jacob in the room. He grinned, squeezing he hand in return after the kiss.

She didn't know what he was about to do, but knew it was very bad. The way he looked at her broke her heart. Taking a deep breath she just didn't know what to do, she knew she had to do something with Jacob if she was to follow him. Since he was only two years old, which made her twenty and Severus about 38. Being married to Severus for two years was heaven to her, smiling she stood up and went on with her early night.

The rest of the night went by quickly. Too quickly for Severus' liking. Soon, it was 8:30. He began getting ready, reviewing the plan in his head several times, and once he had remembered it completely, perfectly, he stood up and walked to the door. "I'm going out Emily, I've got to meet with Albus on something important." he told her, walking out the door. It was 8:45 now, and he knew he was needed at the Astronomy Tower soon. He rushed to that part of the Tower, knowing that Draco would soon begin letting Death Eaters enter the school.

She nodded to him and knew that something was going to have to be done, she had little Jacob so she didn't exactly know what to do. No one knew about him, so she decided to use a spell on her son. Helping him to sleep and to stay asleep, then another spell to make Jacob and the crib invisible. She knew that no one not even Voldemort could see or sense the baby, because this magic was older then him. So hiding in the shadows, being invisible she followed Severus to the tower. Being silent and worried.

Severus reached the Astronomy Tower at the exact moment expected. Harry was underneath Albus and Draco while they were arguing. No doubt, Albus had told Harry to stay still. Severus took out his wand, and approached Harry. Once Harry saw him, Severus motioned for him to be silent. He walked over to the seps, and silently joined Draco and Albus. "Draco?" Severus questioned. Draco whipped around, an DuPont noticing him, turned around to face Albus again. "The Death Eaters are inside the school, Professor." Draco told them, Severus being unsure if he was telling him or Albus. Soon, Bellatrix arrived, and she began urging Draco to kill Albus. Severus was fighting back the urge to stop this by killing Bellatrix, but he knew the plan, an dhis job was extremely important.

She saw Harry and then Severus, but slowly a black figure came out of the shadows toward Severus and Harry. Emily exposed herself to both of them, she didn't know what she was doing, but her Grey eyes looked at Severus kindly. She honestly had no idea what he was doing, but she placed her hand on Harry's shoulder. Hearing what Draco said she looked at Severus "You have to stop him!" She whispered to him.
