To avoid being overheard, Severus switched his conversation with Emily to a mental one. I wish I could, but I can't. he said, almost tearfully, but he didn't show tears. Soon, Draco began letting tears of his own fall, unable to kill Albus. Severus understood, it was a hard thing for a child to do, kill someone. Draco silently walked a bit away, giving Severus room. He raised his wand,Minot wanting to do it. But he had to. He had to go back. Abus looked at him in the eyes, and began pleading. "Please Severus, please." he begged, and Severus almost cried. Raising his wand, he uttered the words. "Avada Kadavra" he murmured, and a flash of green lit up the room, and Albus tumbled backwards, falling out of the Tower, towards the grounds. He heard Bellatrix's laughing, Draco's sobs, and Harry's angry cries. Bellatrix and the Death Eaters had begun wrecking havoc on the school, and Severus followed them, leaving a surprised Harry and Emily alone in the Astronomy Tower.

Emily was surprised as much as Harry was, watching Albus being taken out and she told Harry to go to his room. And she ran after him and she didn't understand this and needed answers, though she knew that he wouldn't say anything. She stopped running after him and knew he would come to her, she went back to there room and made sure there son was okay. He was asleep and she waited for Severus.

Severus had to practically destroy the schools insides, and when they burned Hagrid's Hut, he couldn't do anymore. And with Harry hating him, chasing him and trying to attack him, he reached his edge. He ran to his room, and found Emily sitting there. He hoped she wouldn't hate him, and he stayed silent, sitting down on a chair. He was holding back tears, unsure if the school was still full of Death Eaters or not.

She looked at him when he came in she knelt in front of him and placed her hand on his. But what she saw was something she didn't want to happen. Right before her eyes visions of what he has been through hit her, from the time he was a child even now as an adult. And realized just what had happened. Hearing what Albus told Severus to do, she could hear Albus speaking in a echo. And seeing Albus's death again and realized what Harry Potter truly was. Looking at Severus's black eyes she leaned in and kissed him deeply.

Severus was startled by the sudden kiss, but he soon melted into it. But what he didn't realize was that Emily had accidentally glimpsed his thoughts, and now knew his plan. H wouldn't want that, but he had no idea of it. He held the kiss for several more minutes, but then broke it for air. He regained his breath, and then spoke. "I thought you would hate me for killing Albus. Harry certainly does." he said.

 

[Mayu]

Looking into his eyes she stroked his cheek "I told you Severus I would always stand by your side. Albus has always asked to much of you pushing you to the breaking point" She looked at him and smiled softly. "I love you Severus and one day Harry will understand why you did what you did, you are so emotional right now I....picked up some things so I understand what has happened." She said softly.

I all then became clear to Severus. Emily had accidentally delved into his head, and saw Albus' instructions to him, all that. Tat was why she wasn't so angry at him. But he knew that she soon would be, or at least Jacob. The road would only get rougher. Soon, Harry would leave to hunt the Horcruxes, leaving Hogwarts under the control of the Dark Lord. Severus would, no doubt, be appointed Headmaster, and would have to allow all this to happen. It would be tough, but he knew Emily could handle it.

She looked at him and smiled softly slowly standing up she placed her hand on the wall looking outside, seeing into herself and clenched a fist. "Protecting him just to kill him, Albus Dumbledore what were you up to..." She said to herself. "Severus....if you are appointed new head master, I know other death eaters will be around. What is going to happen to me and Jacob? I can't stay here all the time. The professors here will fight you and so wont the kids, we all must pick ours sides...Mine? is with you"

Severus knew that was a big issue, so he tried to clear it up quickly. "We'll, no doubt the Dark Lord would want Jacob to learn the Dark Arts. Hopefully, he won't recognize you, so he won't torture you. I he recognizes you, he will definetly torture you. He won't really harm Jacob much, but he will humiliate you in front of him, again if he recognizes you. Hopefully, this won't effect Jacob, that he will walk away from it unscathed. It will definetly effect us tremendously." he answered.

She looked down "He wont get the chance to hurt me" Raising her hand as a green ball of power came to her hand it was actually the killing curse in the form of wandless magic. "Riddle would be a fool to waste my potential. I will do what I have to, to keep our son safe. But I also have a responsibility to you as well"

He smiled, glad she felt that why. "We'll, I think it should be time to get going to bed." he said, signaling to her he wanted to end the conversation. He wAlked to the bathroom, readied for bed, changed into his nightclothes, and laid down in bed, Jacob having already fallen asleep a whole ago.

She nodded to him and respected him to stop it, she got changed as well and went to bed cuddling up to her husband. "I know this is a hard journey Severus, but I will be with you ever step of the way" She threaded her fingers with his. "I promise" She said and knew that soon he would be fighting a professor to get him out, but she would stop the attack to help him. Soon enough everyone would know what was going on in time. Closing her eyes she knew Voldemort would meet her, but didn't know what would happen to her.

Severus felt reassured with Emily next to him, and he also got closer to Emily, their body's completely against each others. His fingers interlaced with hers, and he closed his eyes, hoping he would be able to sleep soundly tonight, despite all that had just happened.

She allowed the sleep to take hold of her as she closed her eyes and allowed the sleep to take her, but her vision hit her pretty hard. Seeing exactly what she needed to see about what was about to happen to Severus. So she could be there when it counted.

One Yar Later, May 1st

Severus awoke to coldness. Ever since Hogwarts had been taken over, it was now a gloomy area, dark and forbidding. Gone was the sound of laughter or happiness, of students talking in the halls. It was replaced with gloomy silence, with the occasional cry of pain as students were used to show how Dark Magic worked. It was not the place Severus had loved. He got out of bed, leaving Emily alone in it. Jacob now slept in his own bed, and he had already begun being taught Dark Magic by a Death Eater, much to Severus and Emily's hidden dismay. They tried to keep Jacob away from bad influence, but it was getting harder every day.

She hated Jacob learning dark arts, she only knew them because of what Voldemort did to her parents. When Severus got out of bed she opened up her eyes, and knew this whole thing was taking it's final tole on him. Getting out of bed with him she placed her hand on his back, she knew there wouldn't be much time left before Voldemort found out who she was. "The longer this goes on Severus the more I worry about you, I think you know who is starting to suspect the elder wand doesn't truly bend to his command, which is why next meeting you have with him. I wont be far behind, in case he does what I suspect he may do within hours" She said mentally and kissed him on the cheek.

Severus was holding back tears, knowing that within the next 36 hours he was to die. He didn't want to die, but if it helped with the death of the Dark Lord, he was willing. He kissed Emily in return, and dressed up, and left both Emily and Jacob to go to his new office. He was now Headmaster, so he had no classes to teach. He wanted to avoid conversation with all, so he didn't speak to any of the Death Eaters who called to him, not even to students are the teachers who he knew weren't Death Eaters. He collapsed into his chair behind his desk, still holding back his tears.

She never told him how he was to die, because she needed him to be as scared and sad as he could be. She knew the snake would die in time and right now she prepared for tonight since she knew what was going to happen. She had seen it play in her mind for a week now, watching there son she watched the clock tick by. And waited for the fatal hour where she would be there in time to see the meeting but wondered if she should not let him get stricken down to take charge, she didn't know what to do.

The day passed quickly, and before he knew it, an alarm had been set off in Hogsmeade. He knew it was Harry, but he waited an hour before doing anything. Once he was sure Harry was in the castle, he assembled all the students into the Hall. S the Houses came one by one, he began pacing in front of them. The teachers all looked to him, waiting. "I must tell you that Harry Potter has entered the building. Any and all who are helping him shall be punished, and any who know where he is should reveal him." he told them. He spoke with words with hatred, but everyone though the hatred was directed to Harry, not the words themselves.

As he spoke the doors opened up and the kids came in and Emily was with the kids, almost like she was siding with the kids since no one knew her deal in this either. This place was dark now and when she stood between the kids and Severus she made sure no one could see what she did next, she winked showing she was still with him no matter what it looked like. Looking back at Harry she smiled at him and he walked up, Harry wasn't alone he had all his friends beside him .

Severus saw Harry reveal himself, and before Severus could say a word, Harry sent a spell to him. Severus blocked it, and shot one in return, only to be blocked by Professor McGonogall. Soon, the three are fighting, Harry and the Professor against Severus. In a desperate attempt of escape, Severus breaks open the windows and flew through them to escape. He flew until he reached the Forbidden Forest, deciding to wait there until he figured out what to do next. H sent a mental message to Emily telling her where he was, just so she wouldn't worry.

She heard the word Coward which she didn't like but she heard the message "I'm coming to you Severus...and don't worry our son is Fine" She said mentally and she flew out herself to reach him but she appeared right on her ass. "Aww shit" She had hit it hard. "This is stupid I am twenty one and can't even land on my damn feet" She sighed a bit looking around it was dark. "Severus?"

Severus heard a thump, and then Emily swear. H allowed a ghost of a smile appear on his face, lad Emily was her same old self right now. He heard her call his name, and he appeared in front of her. "I am here." he said. He wasn't sure what to do right now, but he knew soon that a battle for Hogwarts would ensue. He looked to the Castle, and saw that they were developing a force field around them. It would protect them for a bit, until the Dark Lord broke it with the Elder Wand. Right now, he just wanted this all to end.

 

[Mayu]

She looked at Severus as he appeared and smiled at him, all she wanted to do was hug and kiss him. Looking out at the school and sighed some, placing her hands on her hips and thought to him "Voldemort will pay for this, there will be peace Severus our son is a spitting image of you and I am proud of him and you sweet heart. I know all to well what is next though" A tear fell down her cheek as she looked down unable to hold the pain any more.

Severus saw Emily crying, and he couldn't bear it. He came to her, hugging her tightly, trying to soothe her with words. He wanted to guarantee to her everything would be alright, but he knew that was wrong. It wouldn't be alright. It would go alwrong, at least for her. For Albus, it would go perfectly. Severus heard a cry, and when he turned to see it, he saw several Death Eaters on a cliff faint Hogwarts, all of them casting spells to break the shield. Once they hit,they just fizzed away, not damaging the shield one bit. Severus felt hope, but knew it wouldn't be long lasting.
