Half Blood (Closed)

Severus saw the scar. "It is shaped like a snake." He let all this information snk in. He was soon angry. "Why didn't you tell me! Did you not trust me! Did you think I would not love you if you told me!" He was angry at her for not trusting him, after all he had done.

She looked up at him angry herself "Because I don't want to relieve everything that has happened to me Severus, Lucius Malfoy beat my father almost to death before Voldemort slashed his throat!" She took a deep breath controlling herself and looked at him. "I have spent all my life alone I'm not use to having anyone in my life, Ive never had a boyfriend ever. I figured id die alone, and that would be that. She began to cry silently as she pulled her knees up to her face and buried her face in them. "We both know what real pain is Severus, my Patronus is the same as yours. Besides, there is a lot about you I don't know Severus. Do you really like your past as well?"

Severus realized the wisdom in her words. His anger vanished and was replaced with guilt.v"Emily, please forgive me. I was being a jerk, you are right. I am really sorry." Severus payed eyes on his every favor beans. He lifted them up and handed them to Emily in the hope of her forgiving him.

She looked up at him and heard his words, she looked at what he offered. Taking it she put one in her mouth, thankfully it wasn't bad it was fruit flavored. She stood up and sat beside him, placing her hand on his leg. "I love you to much to stay mad at you, but so you don't question my trust in you. Think the last thing I never told you was the ability to read minds without the Legilimens spell, though if your mind is strong to the Legilimens spell then I wouldn't be able to do anything.

But that's an ability I don't use, I don't dive into minds without permission. I would never do that to you Severus, unless you were in a coma of course" Thinking about many things she thought for a moment. Looking at the mark she growled at it and waved her hand over it and it vanished again. "You just need to learn that things I forget to tell you isn't because I don't trust you. Severus you may have never been able to trust anyone but you can me. But you must trust me since you told me you were a death eater." She kissed him and smiled "It will take getting use to for both of us that we have each other"

"You're right. All our lives we didn't trust people, and now we can, and it is difficult." Severus sighed. He took a bean and ate it. Thankfully it was chocolate flavored. He grabbed hold of her hand, squeezed it, and then turned around. "We best get some sleep before we reach Hogwarts. The moment we get there Dumbledore will test you to see if you are a suitable assistant." he infored.

She looked at him "Oh sure now you tell me, I would have used this time to study" She rolled her eyes but laughed softly. And nodded "Good thing I always tested well, I just hope he doesn't mind the wandless thing. Unless he already knows, I was told Albus is rather interesting that nothing surprises him." She shrugged and cuddled up against Severus. Resting her head on his chest, as she allowed herself to fall asleep again.

Severus had a dreamless sleep, only interrupted by the sound of the train stopping. He straightened up, realizing that they had to leave soon. He grabbed Emily, trying to wake her up. "Come in Emily, wake up. We're here."

She didn't hear it she was a very heavy sleeper but right as he was trying to wake her she said one word. "Mommy..." But she felt him around her and slowly opened up her eyes. She didn't remember saying it or the dream. Standing up she sighed "Yeah..." Looking at him. "I'm ready" She pulled her hair in a pony tail and headed out of the train, she could sense and see the power in this place.

As they walked towards Hogwarts, Severus just had to mention what she said. "Emily, when you were waking up, you said Mommy." Severus couldn't contain his laughter anymore. He let it all out. He could barely stand.

She looked at him and watched him laugh, she thought about it as she saw the school in the distance. "I dream about my mother a lot, last thing she said to me.." She looked at him. "Doesn't matter I guess' She smiled. "But so glad your having fun, and your kids are afraid of you? HA if they could see the real Severus Snape they wouldn't be so bothered" She turned on her feet and walked on. 'Come on old man" She looked back at him and winked .

He easily caught up with her. "Well, to cross the Great Lake, we will need Hagrid. He will be coming shortly." Severus sat on a bench, waiting fr Gagrid to come and get them across the Great Lake.

She smiled and nodded but decided to show him something. "Let me show you something Severus, learned it when I was eight" Looking down at the water she concentrated and stepped on the water but instead of going in the water, she stood right on it, ice formed around her feet. "Learned it when I was ice skating"

"Interesting. Do you want to wait for Hagrid, however, or do you want to go on the lake, using your ability? I personally prefer to wait for Hagrid. I don't know how strong that ice is."

She smiled at him "It's as strong as the caster Severus" She walked back and sat by him. "But that lake gives me the creeps, so I don't mind waiting" She said softly. Thinking for a moment, and rested her head on his shoulder. "So tell me, what kind of test will Dumbledore be doing?"

"Well, he will test if you are skilled in potions, as well as testing to see how you would handle problems, like bullies and the such. But don't worry, I think you will pass his test." Right after he finished speaking, he saw the shadowy silohoute of Hagrid, holding a lantern. "Emily, here comes Hagrid!"

She listened to him carefully and looked over seeing him, nodding. "Well this should be not to hard, Ive dealt with bullies and was rather successful of it" Thinking for a moment but relaxed happily. "This will be fun, Ive memorized the potions list and ingredients"

Hagrid came closer and closer, until they could see him clearly. "Ello Severus, ow ya doing!" He patted Severus on the back, hurting him a bit. He winced from the pain, but he didn't let it show too much. "Hello Hagrid, I am here to bring my new assistant to Hogwarts so Abus can test her. Would you please get us across the lake?" Hagrid listened intently. "Sure thing!" he boomed. He helped them in the boats, mother got in himself. Try wouldn't have to worry about the weight, for the oats were magically enhanced to support a lot of weight. Hagrid then began rowing.

She giggled seeing that he had hurt him accidentally, but tried to hold a very straight face. She looked up at him, and smiled happily at him. "It's a pleasure to meet you Hagrid, I'm Emily" She said happily looking over the water a bit. She thought about a lot of different things, when she looked up she could see the school in the distance.

"Well, it's nice to meet ya to Emily." Hagrid responded. He rowed with such force that he propelled than several feet forward with one row. "So, ya gonna be Severus' assistant, huh? Here, not many people like him. What made you do it?" he asked her.

She smiled at him making sure to be careful what to say. "Couple years ago I bumped into Severus on Holiday in Los Angelus where I'm from. And I spent a good few weeks getting to see what no one sees at school." She looked at Severus. "Severus is hard but he is also a very good man, if those who don't like him. Would stop and really look into his eyes, they would see what I see." Looking up at Hagrid. "I'm honored for the opportunity he has given to me and I will not squander it, I took it because I believe I can be good at it."

"Well, you see an entirely different side of Severus then I do." he muttered. Before he could respond, they hit the shore of Hogwarts. "Well, here we are, best hurry up off so ya can see Albus." he told them. He then grabbed the boat, lifted it up, and walked away. Severus then turned to Emily. "You ready for the test?" he asked.

She looked down and took a deep breath, she was the first American to step foot here. Thinking about everything in her life, and it was time to do what she was born to do. "Ive seen many things in my short life, and it's time I prove that I can do anything I put my heart to" She held up her head with pride and nodded. And walked up to the castle that seemed rather old.

They walked up to the castle entrance, where they were greeted by Albus himself. "Severus, good to see you again. I see you have brought your assistant." he motioned to Emily. "We shall begin her test shortly. For now, please follow me." He walked into the castle. Severus turned to Emily. "Go follow him. I won't come with you, okay? I am sorry I forgot to tell you that." he told her quickly.

She smiled seeing Albus for the first time in person, but when he said he wasn't coming. "I know in case you help me cheat" She said softly. And walked up beside Albus and thought for a moment. "You have a beautiful school here, Severus has faith in me. Ive never failed anything in my life, because I learn quickly." She smiled at Albus.

Severus watched as Emily walked away with Albus, and when they left his sight, meh walked off to his office. He didn't worry about Emily failing, he had faith in her. What he did worry about was the coming school year. It was nearing, and he didn't know if Emily was ready. For it.
