She was taken back by the thought of being here, and when she went to the head masters office she saw the seal on the wall and read out loud."Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus" She thought for a moment. "Never tickle a sleeping dragon" She said what it meant in English and sat down. She felt better about this, and crossed one leg over the other.

Severus was tired. But, he first needed to do some paperwork. He took out his wand and used magic todo the paperwork. In a matter of minutes the work was done. He left the office and headed towards his dormitory. He arrived, and said his name, the spell recognized his voice and opened the door. He threw his suitcase on to the chair, not bothering to unpack, he washed and scrubbed his face brushed his teeth, and changed into is bed clothes. He got in bed, and went to sleep.

Then came the test, it was very long. But she finished the potion part of it very quickly, and knew everything was right. But now when it came to situations with kids, she read the choices and answered them the ways he saw fit. But one answer she wrote beside it. "When it comes to problems with kids, you don't need to raise your voice. If you raise your voice, the child will shut down" She sighed a bit, it took her a good two hours and she looked up, placing the test on her desk. Not sure what to do now so she waited to see what Albus said.

Severus was not having a good nights sleep. He dreamt that Emily failed the test and was unable to become his assistant. Then, there relationship would have to become long distance, which he knew wouldn't work out. The thought of losing her was too much. He had already almost lost her by not telling her about his tattoo, he didn't want to actually lose her.

She passed the test perfectly she didn't get anything wrong, so she was told were Severus was and her room would be right next to him. But she was told it was by voice so she had an idea. She closed her eyes and called her Patronous and sent it right through Severus's room. She saw through its eyes and the doe walked up to his bed and tilted her head. "Severus I'm outside your door, we need to talk please"

Severus walk up to see Emily's patronus in his room. "Severus, I'm outside your door, we need talk please." it said. Severus jumped out of bed and opened hs door. He saw Emily waiting for him there. "What is it Emily? Did you pass the test? What happened?"

She opened up her eyes right when he opened up the door, she had a serious look on her face. Running her fingers through her hair. "Severus" She said and smiled. "Your looking at the first American to step foot here as a Professor's assistant" She giggled. "I got a perfect grade"

Severus cried out happily. "That's great! I couldn't be happier! None I have ever known has gotten a perfect grade! You are truly amazing, Emily!" He hugged her tightly. He was now too excited to go to bed. "I have work to do now! I have to go, I just can't wait!" He rushed back into his room, losing the door.

She smiled softly and nodded "Yes well I have a photographic memory, which is how I could memorize the potions. And the student questions? Common sense" She laughed. But she nodded and watched as he closed the door. She was alone again, so she just went across the hall and began to unpack her things and after she was done. She laid on the bed, unsure how to sleep now.

Severus grabbed his wand and began making some tests for the classes next year. Some were review and some was an assessment. The assessments, ment for first years, was testing the easiest part of potions. Whereas the reviews reviewed what was already taught to see if the still needed help on anything or forgot anything. It took him a long time, and he was using magic. He completed all the tests several hours later. He saw the first rays of sunlight, so he decided to rest while he still could.

Before she knew it she actually fell asleep, and then she noticed the sun in her eyes. She groaned some and rolled over, for a moment and relaxed happily. So she got up and checked her watch and it was almost noon. She left her room and didn't know what to do, so she just began to check out the school.

Severus woke up to see the sun almost at its highest point. He checked his clock. How could he have overslept? He got up, changed into his day clothes, and rushed out of his room. He knocked on Emily's door, but she didn't answer. She must have left to check out the school, he thought. He rushed down the hall, searching for her. Then, it hit him. He should run to the girls lavatory.

She was humming a bit since she was the only one around, and right now it all seemed really nice. But as she fixed herself up, putting her hair into a fancy braid and smiled at the reflection in the mirror. She headed for the door and opened it up, this place was amazing. But as she shut the door she felt her bumping into someone. "Oh I'm sorry" She said but looked up seeing Severus. "Looking for me?"

Severus was huffing, trying to catch his breath. When he finally caught it, he spoke. "Why didn't you wake me?" he inquired. "I am supposed to wake up pretty early every day! Did it not come to your mind that we must be close so you can learn?!?!" he yelled. He wasn't really angry, just upset at the thought of losing her.

She looked at him and was taken back "Well how the hell am I suppose to know what to do when you haven't told me much, I mean sure I know the potions and kids thing." Looking down she rubbed her head. She grabbed her head she got a head ache from the talking doe last night and his yelling didn't help. "Besides I thought you could use the sleep Severus, the kids aren't here. So you over slept an hour, big deal. It's still summer" She walked away from him, she hated to be yelled at.

Severus immediately regretted his words. He was having conflicts in hs mind, unsure whether to go after her or not. She began rounding the corner, and then he finally decided to go after her. "Emily, wait!" he ran after her. She showed no sign of slowing down. "Emily, wait! I am truly, deeply, very sorry!" he grabbed her shoulder, stopping her.

She heard his words but just kept going but then before she knew it, she felt his hand on her shoulder. And all of a sudden stopped, she looked down for a moment and sighed. She placed her hand on his and squeezed his hand and kissed it, turning around to look at him. She stroked his cheek "You really are challenging you know that?" She said with a smile on her face. "I didn't know that I was suppose to wake you Severus, you didn't tell me. And I certainly am not going to go into your mind to know what you want"

Severus was happy that she had forgiven him. "I take blame for it. I didn't tell you, so how could you have known? And besides, I was only angry because I was scared for you. I didn't want to lose you like I lost my last love." Severus held her hand. "Why don't I give you the tour of the school? I could give you historical facts for each room as well?"

 

[Mayu]

She listened to him and didn't understand at first that he was so protective. But then he said last love, she looked at him. "Wait a minute, your last love? I didn't know you had a relationship before me? I mean not that it matters to me so please don't think that. But you never mentioned her" She stroked his cheek. "She was killed wasn't she? That's why your so protective of me"

Severus' eyes filled with sadness at the memory. "Well, I loved her, but she didn't love me. She was killed, but it was my fault that she died. That is why I am so protective of you, Emily." He then tried to forget about it. "Well, hw about that tour, eh?"

She thought about it and looked at him "I'm sorry Severus" She kissed him. "She didn't know what she was missing" She said happily. And nodded "Yes show me around Severus" She grabbed his arm gently and smiled at him lovingly. And followed him when he started to move, she was sorry that he lost a woman. "Just so you know Severus, your not going to lose me, I promise. I'm a tough girl, was raised in a nasty city" She said after a while.

He smiled, feeling reassured. "We'll, what part of the castle do you want to see first? My favorite part is the Forbidden Forest, but not many people like going there. If you are too scared, I would underst and." he chuckled.

 

[Mayu]

She looked at him and whispered to him "Severus you know my history with you know who. Do you honestly think that a forest can scare me?" She chuckled and kissed him. "Why don't we check out the forest" She said happily.

"Well, Forbidden Forest it is." Severus set off to the forest. He began explaining it to her. "There are werewolves and giant spiders in the forest. The spiders won't harm me, since Hagrid told them not to." He then told her about what had happened in the past couple of years. "You know about the Sorcerers Stone, right? Well, Voldemort tried to steal it, but Harry Potter stopped him, and that was year one. In year two, the Chamber of Secrets was opened, and some muggle horns were terrified. However, Harry Potter found the entrance to the chamber, killed the basilisk, and destroyed Riddl's diary, which contained part of Tom Riddles soul, that was how he opened the Chamber. And then last year, Sirius Nlack bore out of Azkabn, came here to kill Pettigrew, who was in the form of a rat, but failed. He was captured by dementors, but Potter saved him by making a patronus, which warded dementors off."

She listened to what he had to say to her, and found the forest very beautiful in it's own special way. Hearing about Black she nodded. "Yes I heard about Sirius Black, he was in prison for killing people. Which he didn't do, it's interesting that people here can turn into animals. I have never learned to change into something else, but tell me Severus, do you have that skill as well? turn yourself into a selected new form? I could see you as a wolf. Black fur and black eyes, beautiful." She said happily.
