Happy Hour in Litland Revamped

Had a dream about drinking rum & cokes. Feel like I should make a run to the liquor store now.

Just had a Smithwick’s beer.

Bloody Mary’s this am (and afternoon!)

    • Creole seasoning (Commander’s recommends Tony Chachere’s)
    • 1 1/2 oz. vodka (Commander’s recommends Crescent, Magnolia, or Tito’s). I used Grey Goose as it’s what I had on hand!
    • 1/2 cup V8 or tomato juice
    • 1 tsp. prepared horseradish
    • 1 tsp. or 2 splashes of Worcestershire sauce (I use 1oz of W Sauce)
    • 4 dashes Crystal hot sauce (don’t have this so I skipped this step)
    • 2 dashes Tabasco sauce* (I used more like 1 TBSP)
    • Garnishes: sugarcane stick**, jalapeno pepper, cherry pepper, pickled okra, freshly ground black pepper, and coarse sea salt (Salt/Pepper and Pickled Okra)

PREPARATION

    • Coat the rim of a pint glass with creole seasoning. Fill with ice.
    • Combine all remaining ingredients except garnishes in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
    • Roll the ingredients back and forth into another shaker 3 times, and then strain into the rimmed glass of ice.
    • Garnish as desired. If you like extra seasoning, top off the drink with a pinch of freshly ground pepper and coarse salt.
add two shakes of Tabasco for a double dose of Louisiana heat.
    • I skipped the horseradish as I don’t really like it and didn’t have it anyway😁

Fine fucking recipe. I really dig Tony Chacheres in my Mary. I like horseradish and to add some lemon juice but this is a good mix. You might as well make a double.

Not sure I'm ready to hop back on that horse. 12+ hours yesterday. Boat then bar hopping. I'm getting too old for this shit. Bout to dig into some crabs, which means I'll have to drink beer. Prolly something mello like Stella.

I feel so plain with my Kraken rum and coke, might not be the first one 🤔

OK…you sold me…gotta try some Horseradish in there!

Just some blended scotch, ice cubes, and a splash of water. (And the stereo going in the background)

Barrel Bourbon Single Barrel Cask Strength (Barrel #Z349). Anyone doubting blended whisky can be good should give any of Barrel's products a try. Backing this with a fat doobie cocktail of White Widow, Cinderella 99, an Gorilla Glue.

"White Widow, Cinderella 99, an Gorilla Glue." I smoked a lot of weed in my youth, yet I have no fucking idea what this stuff is. Whatever it is, it sounds potent.

This weed is nothing like what we were smoking in my ute! This way better. Those are different strains of weed. Legal here in the Commonwealth.
