Has anyone done a transgender story with both female and male versions of the same character?

Couples do / can stay together through a transition but it can’t be easy for either of them. The pressures will impose as much externally as it would between them. Let’s be honest and not be blinded by the principles of ‘I’ll love you as a person no matter what’ because real life isn’t like that all the time , in fact seldom is closer. It’s a difficult and an intensely personal experience and would make a good story, though I’m not sure lit’s readers would agree.
Give me a shout if I can help
I've seen enough proof against that. A friend of mine is starting into the transition thing, so I'm about to have a first hand experience.

I know of 2 celebrity couples who have dealt with transgender issues. Ellen/Elliot Page was supported by his spouse through his op, but then their relationship ended soon after the op. Don’t know if the op played a role in their separation, it could have gone either way. Meanwhile Greg/Mae Dean, writer of the web comic Real Life transitioned to female and kept her marriage strong last I read the comic. Assuming this comic does reflect the real life of the artist… I guess a transition can go either way. Hmm.

I know at least three relationships where one partner has gone on to transition, and they've stayed together (one m,f,MtF triad, a f/MtF couple who came out publicly shortly after what looked like a m/f wedding, and a m/afab genderqueer-now-male couple where the evolution in gender happened over many years.) I imagine it helped that the non-trans spouses were bisexual or involved in bisexual communities, so there wasn't so much adjustment to their identities, or shock among their social circles.

Not necessarily loved by each other, obviously. But by the same POV character who gets with the transgender character in each gender body, notices the differences, and appreciates them. Thinking about this concept, wondering if and how anyone has approached it in the past. The POV character is bi, of course.
Not sure if this is what you're talking about but I wrote a story about a man who used to crossdress when he was at college but is now happily married with children.

His past comes back to haunt him and he subconsciously slips in and out of both male and female personas (I won't say more because it would spoil the story for anyone wanting to read it).
