Oh yes, many times.
Just once. I had really made a mistake. I offered to pay for it, they said, no, it was OK. I was very nice about it. So were they.
HYE been delivered the wrong food, and decided, "you know, that actually sounds better?"

Yes, but it was more like, I forgot what I ordered and started eating what they served until the wait staff came over to apologize. I had to explain why I ate it and we all just laughed.

Only once. I just figure it won't help most of the time.
I have had some FANTASTIC wait staff though. I am very happy in that I'm not in a position where I can really be generous when I tip. I think it's so nice to reward good service.

Yes, but it's rare. I think it's one of the most difficult and probably unrewarding positions to hold, so I try to be nice. They'd really have to be rude, or worse for me to ask for a different person.

Yes, it never works, but they like to flirt, they know the tip will be bigger...
that's kind of funny...HYE given a waitperson a flash to get a better deal on the meal? (and did it work?)
