HELP!!!..I messed up my computer..can you help?

Ok... here is the problem... I somehow got rid of the blue bar at the bottom of the screen.... now.. I have it back but the only way it will stay up is if I keep a bunch of extra crap on it. And it no longer will show me the shortcuts to previous sites I had been on... Can you please help????

Correct.. the only way to keep it up is if I left click it.. choose toolbar and then click on various tools to have displayed on it... now I never needed these tools before and it still doesn't show the lil links to where I have minimized them so I can go back later.. if i minimize lit right now.. it disappears completely and I can't find it again.

and I think that was the biggest mistake because if I had just shut it off manually the compute wouldn't have been able to go through the shut down process and save settings... and thus here I am.. lost, alone, confused and once again... technology challenged!

LOL hmmmmm weird I haven't looked up those settings in a while...been trying to but haven't found em yet...have you taken the lil double arrow and pulled up the lil bar??

When the bar isn't there the lil double arrow does nothing nor does it when the bar is there.. nor is the bar locked.... Am I beyond help???

I doubt that...just...I haven't touched those settings in so long...will try to figure out a solution

XP has a restore system, click start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and just restore it back a day or so, the rstore points are in bold numbers. This should put everything as it was
