Here's How Donald Trump Could Become President

The selection of Trump by republican voters shows just how disconnected the Republican elites/donor class from the average party member. They didn't learn anything from the 2 mid term landslides the voters gave them.

The "Conservatives" /donor class in the party must live in Pleasantville because they still think it's the 80's. There is no conservative or moral majority in America, not any more.

I predict if the republican establishment doesn't get on the Trump train and Hillary is elected as a result, the republican voters will never forgive them. It's lights out. A party is nothing without voters.

The lights went out a long time ago. Almost half the population pays no income tax and believe the left's lies about income inequality, the war on women, how rich people stole their money from poor people and that the government is going to take care of them.

If it comes out of the mouth of a Democrat, they believe it. No ifs, ands, or buts. All anyone needs to do is read the mindless posts of the Litlibs.

Trump just bested sixteen of the GOP's bestest and brightest candidates and came out on top. Whether Miles cares to admit it or not, Trump articulates the angst of the typical conservative voter in 2016.

The Trump voter no longer accepts Miles vision for Murica ("The solution to any problem is a tax cut for the rich or a stern lecture to the poor"). Taking the typical Trump voter for granted has cost Miles and his zealots quite a bit in this election cycle.

It has cost the entire party, and will continue to cost them for some time.

The pain is real, and only just starting to emerge. It is most pleasurable to watch.

He certainly does not.

He cannot fathom that ideologues such as himself are the "tail that wags the dog". These ideologues have demanded ideological purity from their candidates, unable or unwilling to recognize they don't have sufficient numbers to elect one by themselves. "Compromise" is a dirty word to these folks.

Your attempt to paint all republican voters as conservative with your racist paintbrush is incorrect. The average republican voter is not an ideologue. Their values may be different on some things from your run of the mill democrat but they care about many of the same kitchen table issues the democrats do.

The " conservative republican voters" were behind Ted "Mr. Values" Cruz. I'd think an expert on everything like yourself would have already known that.

My goodness, I had no idea there were liberal Republicans! </sarcasm>

Your spin to the contrary, most republicans are conservative and most conservatives are republicans. There are virtually no liberal Republicans in America anymore.

And Trump got enough republican votes to clinch the Republican nomination.

I recognize that the most intolerant social conservative faction of the Republican party all lined up behind Cruz and goosestepped proudly....no matter how you spin it, there just weren't enough of them.

Spin that.

There is nothing to spin, because you're wrong. Explain why the republican party hasn't nominated a conservative since Reagan? You can't, everything you said is a bunch of hate filled bullshit.

You should put down the crack pipe and stop watching Chris Mathews. Go outside and get some fresh air, it will do wonders for that addled brain of yours.

Hey, lets just hope to hell that Trump doesn't beat out Hillary ok.

It's a hell of a situation you find yourself in when you know, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that you don't want Hillary Clinton to become the next president, but you also know the only way she won't be, aside from her vaguely possible indictment, which seems highly unlikely, is if Donald Trump does.

Did I say that? I didn't did I? You made it up.

Jesus, you're a fucking douche.

You have said it. You've said it to me, more than once.

Perhaps another couple dozen Obama threads will clear your mind.

You stupid bastard.

Yeah, I've seen that before, I just forgot about it. In one version the man says, but the other horses are still here.

I don't read Chinese, but supposedly this is true:

"The Chinese way to say "blessing in disguise" is 塞翁失馬, which is literally old man loses horse."

Because of course. ;)

Trump campaign approves white nationalist as GOP delegate after 'database error'

William Johnson, the head of a white nationalist party, was approved by the Trump campaign as a possible delegate in California

(CNN) — The head of a white nationalist political party was briefly slated to cast a ballot for Donald Trump this summer at the Republican National Convention after the campaign approved his application to serve as a California delegate.

The Trump campaign submitted the name of William Johnson, the head of the American Freedom Party who funded pro-Trump robocalls that talked of the white race "dying out in America," to the California secretary of state. Johnson is one of 169 delegates -- 159 from congressional districts and 10 at-large delegates -- that voters in each of California's congressional districts would send to the GOP's nominating convention this summer by voting for Trump.

Johnson said he received an email from a California strategist with Trump's campaign late Tuesday afternoon stating that he had been listed in error.

The story was first reported Tuesday by Mother Jones.

In a telephone interview with CNN, Johnson said he understood that "a campaign has to put its best foot forward — and I'm a white nationalist, and we live in a society today where white people don't like white people who like white people. And so, I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize Mr. Trump's chances. So it's best that I resign."

The Trump campaign on Tuesday blamed Johnson's inclusion on its California delegate slate on a "database error."

"Yesterday, the Trump campaign submitted its list of California delegates to be certified by the Secretary of State of California. A database error led to the inclusion of a potential delegate that had been rejected and removed from the campaign's list in February 2016," Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said in a statement.

"We are working to correct this error," she added.

Johnson is slated to serve as a Republican delegate at the convention should Trump win California's 34th congressional district.

Trump is now the Republican Party's presumptive nominee and is running unopposed as he looks to secure the final round of delegates he needs to reach the 1,237 threshold to formally win the GOP nomination.

Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, said his team was also looking into the California delegate slate rules.

"I don't know if he is being replaced or not -- I don't know the answer to that, but I'm sure we'll find out, and as soon as we know whether he's being replaced or not, we'll make sure you're made aware of it," Lewandowski said.

Johnson said he bore no ill will toward the campaign and immediately told the Trump campaign he would withdraw as a delegate.

"So that there is no misunderstanding and for clarification, I hereby resign as a delegate," Johnson wrote to Clark. "Good luck."
