It baffles me that people want to keep discussing this thing. It made sense before the O.P. went through with their radical decision, but now?
This "Let me tell you ten reasons why your over and done decision was wrong/stupid" approach feels like rubbing it in.
The O.P. did what they did, and no one else was hurt except them. If they need further advice, I am sure they will ask for it.

I think this thread has been harped on enough.
I agree the reaction is extreme because as Chloe said-and I said previously-you put it out there, you lose control of the reaction. That and its a porn site, everything is a kink and this is where people have free reign to voice their kinks in comments and posts.
That being said, it is obvious there's more to this so maybe some empathy or simply letting it go at this point would be the right thing to do.
But this is the blessed interwebz so everyone needs to come on it and say their piece, even if its been said by someone else.
